In Destiny 2, you can now get the new fusion rifle “Glacioclasmus” during the Dawning event. We take a look at what the weapon can do and which rolls you should hunt.
This weapon is about: During the winter Dawning event 2020, Guardians can earn a new legendary fusion rifle. It has a tongue-twister of a name: Glacioclasmus. But what does Glacioclasmus have to offer?
What Glacioclasmus can do: The fusion rifle deals Void damage, just like the infamous Erentil. Both weapons also share the property of “breakthrough casing.”
- They charge slower, but deal high damage.
- This means that of the 7 projectiles that such a fusion rifle fires per shot, only 4 need to hit in order to take down an opponent in PvP.
- Destiny 2 also mentions the cryptic description: “This weapon is more accurate when holding still.” This means you hit better at distances when firing while crouched – which also includes sliding.
The stats are very strong for a legendary fusion rifle:
The fusion rifle also has a higher zoom than comparable representatives of the weapon type. Glacioclasmus has 16 (compared to the standard 15). This gives you a small built-in range advantage.
How do you farm Glacioclasmus? The new fusion rifle can only be earned during the Dawning event. The Christmas event has been running since December 15, 2020, in Destiny 2 and ends on January 5, 2021.
The weapon itself can be found in the gifts that you receive from NPCs.
- They only hand out their gifts if you present them with a homemade treat.
- With each baked good you hand over, you have a chance for Glacioclasmus with random rolls – but which are the best for PvE and PvP?

The best rolls for Glacioclasmus in Destiny 2
The best base stats in Destiny 2 mean nothing if the available perks are useless. We will look at which rolls you should take into the Crucible with the new fusion rifle and what gives you the best chance in PvE.
The fusion rifle is at the “hidden range limit.” The limit ranges from 21 to 23 meters. Therefore, you don’t really need to focus on range as a stat since you don’t significantly benefit from it.
Hunt this roll in PvP: You shouldn’t expect any Erentil from back in the day with Glacioclasmus, Bungie has addressed this
