Activision has once again commented on Destiny 2 and is tantalizing the sequel to the popular MMO shooter.
Earlier this year, the company announced that Destiny 2 was planned for 2017. This was recently confirmed by Activision’s Eric Hirshberg during the company’s financial briefing. The game is on schedule, though he did not specify the release date in 2017. He stated that Destiny 2 would be a fantastic continuation.
Destiny 2 aims to appeal to even more players
With the game, the company wants to excite existing fans of the predecessor, but also to attract new players and win back former fans. The appeal of the game should target a broader audience. Eric Hirshberg also addressed the current biggest problem with Destiny. Content is released at far too long intervals. Hirshberg explains that the demand for new content has been so high from the start that the team could not keep up with the development of this content.
However, they have now found a new and clever approach with the team at Bungie, which is supposed to enable a steady stream of fresh content. This should ensure that players always have something to do, motivation is always present, and the universe of the sequel feels alive and constantly growing.
Is Destiny 2 coming to PC?
Not much is known about Destiny 2 so far. Allegedly, it is set to bring shocking changes, which aligns with the statement that they want to reach a broader audience and even more players.
