In Destiny, there are new rumors about the sequel Destiny 2. Big changes are expected.
Destiny 2 is a major sequel from Bungie’s MMO shooter, expected in 2017. While most players are currently looking at the recently released “The Rise of Iron” expansion, Bungie is hard at work on the successor. PS4, Xbox One…and PC?
Several sources reportedly agree that Destiny 2 will also be released on PC alongside PS4 and Xbox One. So far, the shooter is exclusive to consoles.
The PC rumor first appeared on NeoGraf, later a GAF poster wrote that a friend from Activision told him that the Destiny sequel will indeed be released on PC. Allegedly, the publisher recently informed the staff about this during an international presentation. The user also provided another piece of information:
The studio Vicarious Visions, which is part of Activision, is said to be helping to develop Destiny 2.
There has been speculation for years that Destiny could one day come to PC, and Bungie has always been quite vague about it. It is not surprising that there is a desire for this within the player community and that this opens up a new market for the decision-makers.
Destiny 2 is expected to be a completely different game
A few weeks ago, we reported on the info that Destiny 2 will bring “shocking changes”. What this entails could only be speculated. Now, a person familiar with Bungie is quoted:
Destiny 2 is a completely different game. The Taken King was a reboot of Destiny 1 to fix small things. This [Destiny 2] is the overhaul for the big things.
According to sources, for example, the activity model in Destiny’s open world is to be renewed. The areas on planets will be populated with cities, outposts, and more quests, which are expected to be more interesting than the current patrol missions.
