In Destiny 2, the Powerful rewards are causing issues for many Guardians. However, Bungie explains that you will soon be able to access them.
This is the problem: As Bungie states, with the Update 2.2.0 that initiated Season 6, an incorrect change was made that affects your powerful rewards.
For many players, some sources of Powerful rewards were not updated at the start of Season 6, meaning they currently cannot access this top loot.
Several sources for Powerful rewards are affected, specifically the Weekly Bounties from vendors that players completed the week prior.
Ada-1 and Petra Venj are particularly impacted, as they are usually reliable sources for Powerful gear through their bounties. The problem with Ada-1 is especially frustrating, as players cannot receive Ballistic Logs to forge weapon patterns.
Are all Guardians affected? No, apparently not.Only some players cannot access these sources for Powerful gear, which is quite disruptive at the start of a new season since the goal is to level up to 700 Power.
Reset time changes
Here’s what the solution looks like: Bungie is working to fix the problem in an upcoming hotfix. However, it seems that this will still take weeks. The temporary solution is as follows:
Until the hotfix, players can expect these sources to reset every Sunday at the daily reset. It starts on March 10 at 6 PM.
This means that, for the foreseeable future, the sources will only be reset on Sundays. Bungie mentions “every Sunday” starting from March 10.
How can I access the powerful loot now? If you encounter the problem, you will be able to access your bounties starting next Sunday evening. From then on, these sources will reset every Sunday – instead of Tuesdays.
Other issues since Season 6
These issues are also serious:
- The Powerful rewards seem to have another problem. There are reports that this loot is dropping at too low a level. Bungie is investigating this.
- On the Gambit maps “The Kell’s Grave” and “The Cathedral of Scars”, no blockers are appearing. Until the issue is resolved, these maps have been deactivated. They are now missing from the Gambit playlist.
- In Gambit Prime, the Overlords occasionally disappear. This is under investigation.
