In Destiny 2 a new update is being deployed today, March 19. Anyone in the game at this time will be logged out.
Bungie is releasing a new update today, just before the weekly reset. Maintenance work will take place. There is no planned server downtime, but you will be required to download the update soon.
These are the important times today, March 19:
- Maintenance will begin at 4 PM. Some features of the companion app will no longer be available.
- The update 2.2.0.2 will be released worldwide on PS4, Xbox One, and PC at 5 PM. Update: The hotfix will be installed immediately after logging in. It is approximately 30 MB in size.
- You must download the update by 5:45 PM at the latest. Anyone still in the game at that time will be returned to the title screen.
- The maintenance work should be completed by around 7 PM, and all functions will be reactivated.
During the maintenance, the servers will remain online. Once you have installed the update, you can continue playing.
What changes today with update 2.2.0.2? Patch notes
What changes are known? The full patch notes are now live. Here are the highlights:
- The daily and weekly challenges displayed in the navigator caused powerful rewards to jump from lower power than planned. Progress should normally slow down from 690 power level, but before the patch, slow progress was active from 650. With today’s hotfix, you will receive rewards at higher power level up to 690 power level.
According to Bungie, the goal is for endgame progress from season to season to take approximately the same amount of time and effort. This means that moving from 650 to 700 power level should feel similar to moving from 600 to 650 in the previous season. The experience should be comparable.
Additional changes:
- A problem has been fixed where you could not accept the loyalty quest when your bounties inventory was full at the time of acceptance.
- The requirements for the weekly Gambit Prime bounty for the collector have been adjusted. Previously, you had to gather far too many particles.
- The glass modifier has been removed from the pool of reckoning modifiers. It has been replaced by prism. Prism was removed last week due to a bug. It is now returning.
- You can now trade in 5 Gambit synths for 100 glimmer with the wanderer.
- A problem has been fixed where the “Dark Age Arsenal” triumph was not correctly unlocked when winning Gambit matches with a full Gambit loadout
- A bug has been fixed where glory streak triumphs from previous seasons were updated with wins in the season of the wanderer
- A bug has been fixed where players could cancel the Blade Barrage super, causing them to be thrown into unplayable areas
