In Destiny 2, players are complaining today, on 09.06., about server issues and error codes, wondering whether unscheduled maintenance is making it impossible to play.
If you want to sweeten your day with a few rounds in the action MMO Destiny 2 during the midday hours of June 9, you should look for an alternative. The Guardians are struggling with massive server problems.
- Update 18:00: According to Bungie, the sources of the errors for the increased error codes and crashes have subsided – nothing should stand in the way of a Destiny evening now (via Twitter).
- Update 15:30: The problems are reportedly occurring more frequently in the Crucible. Since the Iron Banner event is currently running, this is quite annoying. Bungie is still investigating the situation (via Twitter).
This is the problem now:
- Players are complaining that they are being kicked out of the game constantly.
- Even those who manage to get past the login screen are sent back to the start menu or the orbit after a short time.
- The whole process is garnished with a multitude of error codes – such as CABBAGE, CURRANT, and COCONUT.
We at MeinMMO can confirm that players are currently being kicked back to the orbit from all possible activities:
The Guardians are now wondering, is unscheduled maintenance on the way? Bungie is clarifying – at least a little.
Is there maintenance today in Destiny 2?
What does Bungie say about it? The developer Bungie has commented on the issues:
According to Bungie, the problem seems to exist only for Guardians in Europe. Increased error codes are appearing in Destiny 1 and Destiny 2. One should be prepared for further updates.
What is behind this? We cannot say for sure at this point. A maintenance including server downtime is not scheduled for today. It is, of course, not ruled out that Bungie quickly gets the problems under control. It is also possible that the servers may need emergency maintenance.
Last night, Bungie postponed minor maintenance to today’s Wednesday. This maintenance should only run in the background and not be noticeable (via Twitter). Did this cause problems?
MeinMMO remains on the case for you. If the situation improves or Bungie releases a new statement, we will update this article.
