Why a broom is one of the most popular Sparrows in Destiny 2 and why the magical return might be forever, we reveal to you here.
What is happening in Destiny 2? On October 29, right on time for the reset, the Festival of the Lost begins. This is a Halloween event that transforms the Destiny universe into a spooky-sweet atmosphere for three weeks.
Guardians can fittingly collect candy, earn a special event weapon, and scare each other with funny masks. A fan favorite will also be part of the celebration: a broom.
Flying through the air with the broom: As Bungie announced in a blog post, the Eververse will also have thematically appropriate outfits and items for the spooky holiday. Particularly interesting is a flying broom.
The Sparrow resembles the flying vehicle of a quirky witch or could have come straight out of a “Harry Potter” novel.
The cool Sparrow will be sold by Tess for Silver in the Eververse. However, Bungie assured that all event items should also be available for Glimmer. This time, we should be able to keep the enchanted broom forever.
This is what it looked like in Destiny 1: During the Festival of the Lost in 2016, Guardians could use a flying broom as a Sparrow for the first time. The flying vehicle was not tied to any quest or hidden in loot boxes, but was inconspicuously lying around in the Tower.
After finding it, players could freely zoom through the air on a magical broom. The catch was that the fun was only short-lived. With the end of the spooky event, the broom also disappeared – much to the chagrin of the fans.
In a SciFi shooter like Destiny, bristly brooms are quite a curiosity. Normally, high-tech Sparrows resemble gadgets you would associate with Star Wars. This made the enchanted variation all the more amusing for Guardians.
In Destiny 2, we should finally be able to keep the broom. Because it is very unlikely that Bungie will simply lock or remove an item obtained in the Eververse – whether for Silver or Glimmer – after the event.
This is how the community reacts: When Bungie announced this year’s Festival of the Lost, the elegant broom immediately caught the attention of many. We would like to present a few sample comments here:

I hope the broom is not just limited to the Festival of the Lost like in Destiny 1.

What do you think of the flying broom? Exactly your thing or does something like this not fit in the Destiny universe?
