In Destiny 2, plans need to be adjusted, as the Shadowkeep release is delayed. Bungie has now announced the new roadmap for August and September.
Therefore, Season 7 lasts longer: Last night, on August 1st, many Guardians were taken by surprise. Because Bungie unexpectedly postponed the Shadowkeep release. Instead of September 17th, you can now dive into the new Guardian adventures starting October 1st.
But: “More time means more opulence” – Bungie wrote a few hours later via Twitter, revealing the new plans they have developed for Season 7. Season 7 is the season of opulence.
Roadmap until the Shadowkeep release
What to expect until Shadowkeep:
- Solstice of Heroes: This summer event has been running since Tuesday and lasts for almost the entire month of August – until August 27th. There will be no changes, this event will not be extended. How to upgrade your Solstice armor by then, you can find out here.
- 2 Iron Banner events: There are still plenty of Iron Banner events until Shadowkeep. From August 27th to September 3rd and from September 17th to September 24th, this PvP event will take place.
- A new Destiny 2 update will be released in the week starting September 3rd. Update 2.5.2.2.
- From September 10th to September 17th, there will be a Triumphs Week. Originally, the Triumphs were supposed to end on August 27th, but they are extended until September 17th. At the same time, there will be a Recklessness boost (Gambit).
- For the last week of Season 7, which runs from September 24th to October 1st, there will be a Witches’ Cauldron in PvP, along with a Valor and Recklessness boost.
First information about Update 2.5.2.2: This will be a “quality update” that responds to player feedback and makes some rewards easier to obtain. You’ll have easier access to weapons from Gambit Prime, from The Reckoning, from Braytech schematics, and the top weapons The Apex and Wendigo GL3 will become more accessible. Menagerie chests will be more rewarding, and the Reckoning difficulty will also be adjusted.
