Destiny 2 electrifies everything during the Arc Week. Guardians can look forward to enhanced Arc classes, a powerful machine gun, and new loot quests.
Many Guardians have been waiting for this: The arrival of Arc Week has been known since the introduction of Season 6 . However, until today, there were no details regarding what kind of event this is and what it entails. In the current “This Week at Bungie” blog, Bungie has revealed the first details about this event.
The Arc Week – What is known so far
When does the Arc Week take place? The new event starts on April 9 and runs until the reset on April 16.
What is the Arc Week? The event is essentially a themed week where everything revolves around the Arc element. For this, Bungie has among other things
- Activated Arc Singe, which increases Arc damage from all sources. Which activities are specifically affected is still unclear
- Made extensive sandbox changes to the Arc subclasses. These will remain in place beyond the event
- Introduced new Arc loot quests
- Returned the Cauldron in the Crucible, allowing Guardians to unleash their enhanced Arc abilities there
- Returned the Thunderlord quest.
Guardians missing this exotic machine gun can head to the Cosmodrome to secure the heavy MG directly. Because currently, the Thunderlord is only available as a random drop from exotic engrams. You have time from April 9 to April 23.
How Arc Subclasses Change
The focus of the sandbox changes was mainly on the Arc subclasses. However, other subclass focuses have also benefited.
These changes will also remain in place beyond the Arc Week. The sandbox team used the event as an opportunity to revise the focuses, something they wanted to do since Forsaken.
This will change with update 2.2.1 on April 9:
Striker Titan – Code of the Juggernaut
Frontal Assault:
- During the duration of the buff, all weapon damage is increased by 25% against enemies and 20% against players
- The duration has been increased from 10 to 16 seconds
- A buff timer will now be displayed in the HUD
Knockout:
- The damage bonus for melee attacks has been increased from 25% to 60%
- The effect is now triggered when the target has taken 60% damage. Further damage after 60% updates the timer. Breaking an enemy shield still triggers Knockout
- The effect is no longer consumed after only one melee attack
- The duration has been increased from 3 to 5 seconds

Arcstrider Hunter: The Way of the Warrior
Combo Strike
- The bonus damage for melee attacks can now stack up to 3x. Each stack requires a melee ability kill. The buff increases melee damage by 60% per stack in PvE and 22.7% per stack in PvP. Previously, the buff was 50%
- Kills with this ability now heal 40 health and initiate health regeneration
Deadly Reach:
- Buff duration has been extended from 6 to 8 seconds
- Additionally, the buff is no longer consumed by a melee hit
Arcstrider Hunter: The Way of the Wind
Confusion Strike:
- The distance of the confusion effect has been increased by 50%
- The duration of the effect has been extended from 1.5 to 2 seconds
Focused Breathing:
- The reload bonus for the dodge ability while sprinting has been increased by 100%
Combat Meditation:
- The regeneration rate for bonus grenade and melee has been increased by 25% while you are critically injured
Lightning Reflexes:
- The damage resistance while dodging has been increased from 25% to 40% in PvP and from 63% to 70% in PvE
Stormcaller Warlock: Stormtrance Super
Change in the super:
- The damage of the super now scales over 5 seconds to 150% if you continuously use this attack.
Stormcaller Warlock: Resonance of Transmission
Chain Lightning Melee
- This can now chain up to 5x (previously 1x). Each individual target can be hit twice. The chain damage has been reduced from 50 to 31 per chain hit
Arc Net:
- Can now bind to significantly more targets and switch between targets
- The chain range has been increased from 10 to 12 meters
- When chaining Arc damage, the grenade cooldown is reduced. This works with Arc Net chains and with chains from Chain Lightning melee. You gain 3% energy per chain damage instance in PvE and 10% in PvP

Stormcaller Warlock: Elements Resonance
Electrostatic Wave:
- The bonus for the regeneration rate of the Rift has been increased by 600% for each nearby allied Guardian
- The duration of the Rift has been extended from 15 to 20 seconds
- A notification appears on the screen when the buff is active
Arc Soul:
- The damage duration has been increased by 50%.
How Other Warlock Subclasses Change
Not only the Arc abilities were improved for the Warlock. The once heavily nerfed Nova Warp will be strengthened with the upcoming update 2.2.1. A perk of the Duskblade will also be adjusted, but this will be weakened.

Voidwalker Warlock: Nova Warp Super
Bungie admits that they nerfed this super too hard in the last adjustment. With these changes, they hope to have found the golden mean:
- The cost of the first charged explosion energy has been reduced by 20%
- Energy costs to hold the charged explosion have been reduced by 7%
- The time it takes for the charged explosion to fully charge has been reduced from 0.9 seconds to 0.7
- The cost for the teleport has been reduced by 20%
- The base duration of this super has now been increased from 18 to 22 seconds
Duskblade Warlock: Eternal Fire Perk
With the changes, they wanted to prevent this perk from leading to an endless super in some cases. The amount of super energy that you first get back has been increased, but decreasing returns have been implemented to ensure you cannot continue indefinitely.
- First return of super energy has been increased from 10% to 13%
- Energy return then decreases linearly from 13% to 0.75% per kill over 30 kills
