In Destiny 2, a new TWaB has been released that shows not only more in-depth insights into the new armor exotics but also details about Void 3.0 and the new hard campaign by Bungie. We show you all the details about the new information.
What has been released? As every Thursday evening, a new TWaB post (“This Week at Bungie”) is released by Bungie. This usually contains information on the current season, as well as future announcements and teasers for new content that will be released in the coming weeks.
Bungie has now released new images of the upcoming exotics and explained the features of each armor piece. Void 3.0 seems to be designed so that even beginners will not be overwhelmed to try out their own builds.
In addition, Witch Queen will be released with a new hard story mode aimed at experienced and endgame players. If you take on the challenge and complete the available missions, many rewards await you.
Hard Campaign, Better Loot
As the community wanted more of a challenge, the developers decided to launch the Legendary campaign. With it, Guardians can play the story of Witch Queen again on a higher difficulty level with many modifiers and benefit automatically from more loot.
What loot can I expect? Since the legendary versions of the story missions are more challenging, you will be better rewarded through them. Bungie has set the following rewards:
- Double chest loot from 1 – 3 extra chests per completed mission
- Players who play on the “Legendary” level can unlock the Throne World armor faster
Bungie states that with the higher risks taken, you also deserve higher and thus better rewards.
What do I get for completing all missions? You will also be rewarded when you complete all missions, meaning you will have gone through the entire Legendary campaign. The following rewards await you:
- A new emblem to symbolize your ambition
- A completed triumph needed for the Throne World seal
- An armor set with a light level that is 20 points above the soft cap of 1500
- Eight upgrade modules
- The new exotic armor pieces that can only be farmed in the lost sectors
- Exclusive Bungie rewards
New Exotics and Their Features
Bungie did not hold back on exotics in Witch Queen, and some more have been revealed in the new TWaB. Each class receives two new armor pieces that you can unlock through lost sectors, as well as by completing the entire Legendary campaign.
The Loreley Splendor – Titan Helm
What can the exotic do? If you are critically wounded and have the Solar Titan Super equipped, you create a solar spot. This spot heals and grants you increased grenade and melee recharge. You also receive a damage bonus on top of that.
Raureif-Z – Titan Chest Armor
What can the exotic do? This chest armor creates a massive Stasis wall when you use a barricade. This wall grows from the ground and spreads wildly in the direction you are facing.
Enemies nearby the Stasis crystals will be slowed and frozen. You and your teammates will also enjoy an increased reload rate, stability, and handling for your weapons.
Secant Filaments – Warlock
What can the exotic do? The exotic grants Warlocks the perk of Devour when you deploy a Well of Radiance. This allows you to kill enemies while simultaneously replenishing your health. Guardians standing in the rift also gain the ability to disrupt enemies and champions. If this exotic scares PvP players, champions will surely tremble before it.
Osmiomancy Gloves – Warlock
What can the exotic do? These gloves provide you with a second charge of the seeking Stasis grenade. Your grenades gain longer targeting, and if you hit an enemy, your grenade ability regeneration will increase.
Blight Ranger – Hunter Helm
What can the exotic do? This helmet for Arc Hunters reflects incoming damage back to the attacker and generates spheres of Light. It is great against Ogres or Sorceresses.
Renewal Grips – Hunter Gloves
What can the exotic do? These gloves give the Hunter an increased radius for the early light grenade. You have a grenade with a larger area of effect, and players within this grenade take less damage from outside.
Enemies inside the grenade also deal less damage. This is great if you want to weaken a specific target.
Void 3.0 – Beginner Friendly and Easy for New Lights
What has Bungie changed? Since Stasis was a new element in the Destiny 2 universe, all players had to learn the aspects and fragments of this new power. This took time and caused frustration among players who leveled all three Guardian classes in the past.
In Witch Queen, however, Guardians will not waste time, and veterans will have immediate access to most aspects and fragments of Void. Some of them will only be unlockable after completing certain missions.
This way, long-time players who have played before Witch Queen can start immediately and create their desired build without being hindered by tedious grinding.
What about new players in Destiny 2? Bungie has also come up with something, namely they can easily obtain the supers and various elements through the initial quests. Step by step, they are explained how the supers work and how best to use the aspects and fragments of Void 3.0.
This should make for a more beginner-friendly Destiny 2, so that newcomers are not discouraged from trying new things. Also in the latest interactive Witch Queen trailer, Guardians received a crash course on the story. Bungie seems to be working to improve the entry experience for new players as well.
