In Destiny 2, all seasonal rank rewards for Season 8 are known. A cool sword emote for 2 Guardians is only available at rank 99.
Why are the rewards already known? Bungie has updated the official website for Shadowkeep, where you can now scroll through all seasonal rank rewards for Season 8.
With Season 8, a new reward system is being introduced – similar to a battle pass or season pass from other games. You can gradually level up through experience points, with each rank granting a reward. This is intended to provide long-term motivation so that you always have a goal in sight.
There are free seasonal rewards as well as additional premium rewards. You only receive the premium rewards if you own the season pass for the respective season.
Here’s how to access the premium season content: You need the season pass for the respective season:
- If you have purchased Shadowkeep, you automatically own the season pass for Season 8.
- The Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition of Destiny 2 Shadowkeep include the season passes for the entire Year 3 (so 4 passes).
- A standalone season pass can be purchased in-game for 1000 Silver.
Here are the rewards of Season 8 at a glance
These are the rewards at the ranks: You have about 3 months per season to grab all seasonal rank rewards. There are a total of 100 ranks in Season 8.
Rank 1 to 10: Among the rewards are some symbols that cannot yet be clearly assigned. The most important item here at level 7 is the “Eye of the Tormentors” – the artifact of Season 8, with which you can break power level limits.
The top row is free for all Guardians, the bottom row is the premium row, available additionally for season pass holders:
Rank 11 to 20: Here are legendary armor pieces and various materials included:
Rank 21 to 30: More legendary armors, an exotic engram, and a legendary weapon at level 30:
Rank 31 to 40: The new exotic hand cannon “Eriana’s Vow” is available for free for everyone at level 35. With the season pass, you can get it at level 1:
Rank 41 to 50: At rank 45 there is a legendary machine gun:
Rank 51 to 60: The free rewards are getting scarcer. At level 60, there’s still an exotic engram, after that only glimmer engrams:
Rank 61 to 70:
Rank 71 to 80:
Rank 81 to 90: At rank 90, there’s an exotic ship:
Rank 91 to 100: At rank 99, you will get an exotic gesture, and at rank 100, there will probably be an ornament for the exotic hand cannon “Eriana’s Vow”.
What kind of gesture is there at level 99?
This is the sword gesture: This is very likely the gesture that was briefly shown in the new ViDoc for Shadowkeep. In the gesture, two Guardians clash their “light swords” together, sparking flames. It looks pretty cool:
