In Destiny 2, the community event “Empyrean Foundation” is close to its final stage. Read why we might see this today and why so much is being donated.

This is the Fractaline status: A proud 6 billion Fractaline must currently be donated by Destiny players. Once this amount is reached, Bungie will reveal what the seventh and final stage will look like.
As of now (11 a.m. on February 19), 5,755,170,600 units of Fractaline have been submitted. Based on the trend of recent days, it can be inferred that the goal will be reached in a few hours and the finale will begin.
In the game itself, it is not visible how far along the community event is exactly. There, you can only read the general event stage. You can see this on one hand at the hologram above the tower obelisk and in the PvP screen.

Why is so much being donated? The graph shows that donations spike at the weekly reset. At this time, a resource distribution occurs.
There are various reasons for the incredible donation willingness of the players.
- One reason for the significant increase is that now also the Fractaline investors are donating. They have been waiting and have now reached the peak of profitability.
- The Guardians suspect the return of the Trials in the upcoming Season 10. Donations are meant to build the lighthouse, which is important for the PvP mode.
