In Season 13, Destiny 2 is expected to make life easier for you on the new location Europa with a highly requested “Quality of Life” feature and shorten your travel routes.
Bungie is addressing this problem in Season 13: As good as Europa may be received as a new location – shortly after the release of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, many Guardians were annoyed by the long paths on the ice moon of Jupiter, and many still are.
Because the location is large and the various tasks there often send you across the map from one corner to the completely opposite one, sometimes multiple times. And despite Sparrow, one spends a lot of time traveling there. There are 2 landing zones, but they feel like they are 500 meters apart and both at the bottom of the map. In the upper areas, there is no landing zone – not even nearby. But that is precisely where one often has to go.
And that is exactly what annoys many players. There has even been talk of artificial content stretching, as some believe that Bungie is deliberately sending the Guardians on long journeys – at least on Europa. Accordingly, there have been numerous demands from the community to finally add another landing zone in Europa. After all, many are already done with the content of Beyond Light. And it looks like it is actually going to happen soon.
Europa is getting a new landing zone in Season 13
This is how Destiny 2 plans to solve it in Season 13: What many have wished for will be fulfilled in the new Season 13. Bungie has now confirmed this on Twitter.
The official Destiny 2 account posted on January 27: “If this gets 7 likes, we will add a new landing zone in Europa in the next season.”
That was achieved predictably within seconds, so it was basically already a done deal that Bungie simply announced on Twitter.
Where will the new landing zone be? This is currently not exactly known, but it is firmly assumed that it will be placed in the Eventide Ruins, which is at the upper end of the map.
Some joke that Bungie might choose their famous Plan C (Guardians want A or B, Bungie knows better and gives them C) and that it might end up looking like this:
But the Eventide Ruins are really the most logical and also the most sensible solution. This would ensure quick access to the upper areas of the Europa map and finally evenly distribute the location. Bungie should know this, and that has indeed been demanded.
What do you think about this? Are you excited about this new feature? Or do you think it’s coming too late? By the way, in the new season, the popular Umbral Engrams are also coming back: Destiny 2 is bringing back a loot mechanic in Season 13 that many of you liked
