What is “The Final Shape”? “The Final Shape” is the last DLC of the Light and Darkness saga for Destiny 2, which will be released on all platforms.

Destiny 2 “The Final Shape” Release: All about the launch
When is the release? At the big showcase, Bungie revealed the launch date of “The Final Shape”. This was initially planned for February 27, 2024. That should also coincide with the start of the first episode.
However, through Bloomberg, it became known on October 30 that Bungie would likely have to postpone this date due to layoffs and a decline in the game’s popularity.
- On November 27, Bungie confirmed that their next DLC “The Final Shape” is being delayed by seven months. It will now officially be released on June 4, 2024.
Destiny 2 “The Final Shape”: All about the storyline
The Endgame of Existence: While the current DLC “Lightfall” has only prepared players for what lies ahead, “The Final Shape” will set the definitive, final period to the 10-year saga of the Light and Darkness saga in its narrative year.
The Traveler has been a feature of Destiny since 2014. Since players started playing Destiny, it has always been there. They have drawn their powers from it, and it has not only advanced Earth technologically but also other worlds, bestowing them with its silent gifts.
But now, the Traveler is in deep trouble as the Witness has caught up with it, and its plans are almost realized. This is supposed to be the most difficult challenge players have faced so far. But Bungie won’t leave you alone.
- Ikora Rey, Commander Zavala, and even a mysteriously returned Cayde-6 will be by your side, ready to embark on a path of memory and discovery through the Pale Heart of the Traveler.
And this assistance will be needed. The Witness, the being of many beings, believes to have recognized the truth in the darkness of the Veil. Its goal: to create the “perfect universe” and bring it into its “Final Shape”. If its machinations are not stopped, the universe will be reduced to a single moment. One that is frozen in time forever.
In the new raid, the Guardians will confront the Witness directly and attempt to break its spell on the Pale Heart.
Solo players will also be able to experience the finale: For all those who do not participate in raids, the gripping resolution of the story will also be playable in its entirety, including the potential triumph over the Witness. Provided, of course, that we Guardians come out as victors.
