The highlight of the summer for Destiny 2 embodies the Solstice of Heroes. During this summer festival, Guardians can unlock various versions of the event armor. How to do this, we explain in our guide.
Before the Forsaken expansion kicks off the second year of Destiny 2 on September 4, 2018, fans have something to do again. As part of the Solstice of Heroes, Guardians celebrate their past achievements while allowing the first year of Destiny 2 to conclude.

For the occasion of the festival, there are numerous new rewards to earn – including various sets of event armor. We have summarized how to obtain all individual pieces of the ceremony armor for you below.
Solstice Armor – Your Path to All Three Sets
The ceremony armors: As a reward during the Solstice event, starting July 31, there will be the ceremony armor of the Solstice of Heroes. This is essentially the same armor set that your Guardians wore at the beginning of Destiny 2 when the city fell to the Cabal – at least at the start of the event. You can upgrade this armor step by step in the form of various sets – both in appearance and in power level.
These armor sets can be upgraded step by step to power level 400: At the beginning of the Solstice of Heroes, you will first receive the “Scorched” armor set, which has a power level of 240. For each piece of armor, there is a series of tasks to complete. This allows you to upgrade the armor – among other things in the Redux missions. Once you have met the requirements, you go to the statue of the heroes to upgrade the armor and start the next set.
After your damaged set is completed, you will receive the “Rekindled” set. This time the armor has a power level of 340. Again, you need to complete a task list and then ultimately receive the “Radiant” armor set with a power level of 400. Once all the corresponding tasks have been completed, you unlock the masterpiece version of this ceremony armor.

If you prefer the appearance of the “Scorched” or “Rekindled” sets and want to use this appearance, that’s also possible. For every “Radiant” set, you can activate the previous versions of the armor as ornaments. So you can decide as you wish how each of your armor pieces looks.
These Tasks You Must Complete to Unlock All Armor Pieces
To unlock individual armor pieces of the sets and upgrade the sets, you need to do the following:
Note: Elemental Orbs (Arc, Solar, Void) are generated by wearing the complete set of Solstice armor during the event.

By the way: During the duration of the Solstice, there will be a new Solstice Engram in the Eververse. Each account can earn three of them by completing the event milestone for each of your characters. No matter which activity you play in Destiny 2 during the Solstice of Heroes – you will receive one Solstice Engram per level-up in addition to the regular Glimmer Engram.
From the Solstice Engrams, you can also obtain armor glows. These cosmetics can be applied to any version of the Solstice armor sets. Armor glows will be permanently unlocked after obtaining and shine brightest when the focus element of the respective Guardian class matches the element of the glow.
Are you looking forward to the event armors? Do you already have a favorite? And what do you think about the unlock requirements?
