In Destiny 2 you can now get 6 new Exotic armor pieces for all classes, namely Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans. We show you how to obtain the items from the Lost Sectors and what you need to pay attention to.
With Destiny 2: Beyond Light ( Beyond Light), 2 new Exotic armors have been introduced for Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans. These Exotics are extremely powerful and significantly change your playstyle.
Guardians are wondering how to obtain the new items. If you simply play without a plan, you may have to wait a long time for the Exotics.
Where do the new Exotics come from? You can obtain the 6 fresh Exotics from the new variants of the Lost Sectors if you master them solo. You can find them on Europa and in the Cosmodrome. You can only farm the special armors specifically there. However, there are some important things to consider.
Before MeinMMO helps you navigate through the activity safely, here’s a brief look at the 6 new Exotic armors and their unique perks from Beyond Light.
These 3 new Exotic gloves await Guardians
- Nekrotic Grip (Warlock): Dealing damage to fighters with melee attacks corrupts them, and this damage grows over time. When a corrupted fighter is defeated, the damaging effect spreads to nearby targets and restores melee energy.
- Athrys’ Embrace (Hunter): “Balanced Knife” receives a second bounce. Fast precision hits with your weapons grant “Balanced Knife” a significant damage bonus and the ability to stagger unprotected fighters for a short time [Stagger].
- Icefall Mantle (Titan): Replaces your barricade ability with a damage-absorbing armor enhancement that soaks up a small amount of damage. While enhanced, you are slowed, and your barricade does not recharge.
The 3 new Exotic helmets are in the DLC
- Dusk Chorus (Warlock): Your Dawnblade projectiles cause your targets to burn on contact and deal increased damage. All your burn effects last longer and you gain a small amount of melee energy whenever a target takes damage from burning.
- Mask of Bakris (Hunter): Replaces your Stasis-focused dodge ability with another, faster dive that partially cloaks you while using it. After the dive, your Arc weapons deal increased damage for a short time.
- Precious Scars (Titan): After you respawn or are revived, you gain an aura that grants you and your nearby allies over shields.
Complete Lost Master Sectors and Legendary Lost Sectors in Destiny 2
How to get Exotics from Sectors: You obtain the 6 new Exotic armors through the new “Lost Sectors” activity from Beyond Light. Sectors can now appear in two special forms:
- Legendary Lost Sectors (1,250 Power)
- Lost Master Sectors (1,280 Power)
At the entrance of the sector, you will find a flag, where you start your adventure.
Think of the activity as a mini-version of Nightfall: The Ordeal. As in there, here applies: If you complete all Champions (Platinum) and succeed at a higher level, you have better Exotic chances.
How was it with targeted farming? You can see exactly which Exotics drop in which sector. The sector description always indicates at the bottom whether the exotic reward is a helmet, gloves, chest armor, or boots.
If you want the new helmets, you must play the sectors that specify exotic helmets as a reward. However, you can also farm old Exotic armors this way – for example, if you are looking for specific status attributes.
Why can’t I see the new Lost Sectors?
To see the special variant of the activity, you must have at least power level 1,200 and have completed the regular sector once.
Then you can interact with a flag at the entrance of the Lost Sector – this starts the new activity.
This is what you need to know about the rotation: It’s also important to know that a rotation occurs daily. With each reset (6 PM), which sector is up changes. This also changes the type of exotic rewards.
It may be that yesterday on Europa the sector “The Hidden Void” was active as a legendary version, it may drop completely out of the rotation today and tomorrow be up as a Master variant.
Master the new Lost Sectors from Beyond Light solo
This is what you need to know about modifiers: Each of the Lost Sectors receives additional modifiers on Legendary or Master that make your life difficult and require a specific playstyle.
- You can see the modifiers when you navigate over the sector in the menu
- When you interact with the flag at the start
- When you call the Ghost in the sector itself
Known annoyances under the conditions include Match Game or more damage in the air. Additionally, the notorious Champions are waiting for you. Which variants you encounter is also noted among the modifiers.
- Note that in almost all Lost Sectors, one type of damage always has bonus damage – this applies to your damage and that of enemies.
- This is how time works: If you exceed 15 minutes, you have no respawns left. If you die then, you must start all over again. As long as you have time left, each Champion you take down grants you an extra life.

Tips for the best mods and loadouts
If the sector is too difficult, don’t torture yourself. You can farm the activity endlessly if your level is high enough. The more you play the sector, the better you will become, as the enemies always lurk in the same places, and you will know what to expect.
Use this equipment: To tackle the endgame activity solo, here are useful tips:
- Definitely use your artifact from Season 12 and the powerful mods from it. Here you will find the special mods to defeat Unstoppable, Barrier, and Overload Champions with weapons.
- Particularly useful is the combination of the two artifact mods “Thermal Overload” and “Wavespender”.
- Since you are alone, you cannot use the Champion killer combo of Izanagi and Divinity. But a weapon with “Disruption” perk and Izanagi’s Burden will quickly take down Champions – you can quickly get Izanagi at the Exotic kiosk.
- Eriana’s Vow is excellent for penetrating shields on its own and preventing Champions from hiding behind their barriers – especially when Solar bonus damage is active, you will kill two birds with one stone.
- Also, use the powerful mechanics “Charged with Light” and “War Mind Cells”. Since Season 12, the corresponding mods are in your armor’s new slot, the “Combat Style Mod Slot” all the way to the right. Even Exotic armors now have the new slot.
