Destiny 2 has brought back the Glass Room, and you can search for 4 hidden chests in the Cult raid. We show you all the locations in the guide with video and tell you what rewards await you.
Even in Destiny 1, the Glass Room hid plenty of secrets that kept the guardians occupied for years. In Season 14 of Destiny 2, you can find 4 hidden chests and 12 collectibles in the raid.

What’s in the chests?
- From the 4 hidden chests, you can draw raid mods that are specifically tailored for the Glass Room. Each week, a small amount of “conquest loot” awaits you per character here.
- With this, you can buy raid items after the final boss in the Glass Room or the Deep Stone Crypt
- Or you spend the resource in the Tower to buy old raid exotics like the powerful Anarchy at the Exo kiosk (Monument of Lost Lights).
- Additionally, the chests contain random loot that you have already found at least once in the raid. So if you have the Fatebringer in the collection, a further roll of the famous weapon can drop in each hidden chest. Only the Vex Mythoclast you won’t get this way.
Once you have found all 4 hidden chests for the first time, you can claim the triumph “Temporal Depots.” Check the triumphs menu under legends (far right).

Chest 1 – Directly at the entrance of the Glass Room
This chest is not really “hidden” as it’s hard to overlook. You will find it directly to the left of the large, round entrance of the raid.
This door opens as soon as you have built the Vex pillar by holding the 3 plates in the large area of Vex for some time. So just play the start normally, just don’t forget to take the 1st chest with you during the storm into the Glass Room.
Chest 2 – Secret path deep in the raid
You must find the 2nd hidden chest before the 1st fight, that is, before the Conflux phase (the arena where the Oracles and the Templar appear). To do this, after the first bend after the first chest at the entrance, you need to take a secret path. You will come to a room where it continues left and before you is an abyss – stop here!
Jump off the edge in this area; directly beneath you is a hole in the wall that you need to maneuver into. Ideally, use a movement exotic and a sword to navigate better in the 3rd person.
Now follow the path further down and bravely jump into the next area. After a few seconds, you will enter an open area with a tree in the center. A little further right, you will find the 2nd chest at the left edge of a platform.
Then continue playing the raid normally. That is: beat the Templar and head into the Gorgon’s Labyrinth.
Chest 3 – The riddle in the Gorgon’s Labyrinth
If you think the chests are not hidden, you will now be in for a surprise. The 3rd chest is located near the Labyrinth entrance behind a locked door. To open this door, 3 hidden Vex cubes need to be destroyed.
This can be done by one guardian alone or the whole team can split up. If you get discovered and wipe, that’s not a problem. The searched Vex cubes stay destroyed for the run. Further down in the article, we have a video of the exact route through the labyrinth.
Once you have destroyed all 3 Vex cubes, it will be displayed on the bottom left of the screen that a door has been opened. Now head back to the entrance or let yourself be discovered – that way you will also end up back at the start. From here, go to the right. In a brightly lit area, you will see a small variation of the raid entrance door. Inside, you will find the 3rd chest above the plate.
Chest 4 – Just before the Gatekeeper and Atheon
The 4th hidden chest is fortunately much easier to find again. It is located directly after the small jumping puzzle that brings you to Atheon’s Throne Room (that is, before you fight the Gatekeeper and Atheon).
Do not go up the stairs to the boss arena! Left before it is the 4th and final chest:
Directly to the left, before you enter the long corridor, you need to jump a few meters high. You will usually see the bluish glow of the chest even out of the corner of your eye. Use the pillar as a springboard to reach the chest on a ledge on the wall.
Congratulations! You have now found all 4 more or less well-hidden chests. You can of course loot these chests again during every raid run of the Glass Room (after a reset). However, you can only complete the triumph “Temporal Depots” once.

Find all 12 collectibles in the Glass Room in Destiny 2
You can also find: During your trip to the Glass Room, there are not only the 4 hidden chests but also 12 collectibles. They look like large shards or rough gems and can only be collected once (you need to be close).
Spread throughout the entire raid, 12 of these collectibles await you. You can even find the first 2 before you enter the raid. As a reward for finding them, you will receive the triumph “Glass Pearl” and the exclusive raid shader “Bitter Pearl” – which gives you a white-silver look.
