Now the Guardians in Destiny 2: Forsaken have one week to tackle the 6th Ascendant Challenge. If you master this challenge, you will receive powerful gear as a reward. This is the last new Ascendant Challenge, as with the next reset, these challenges will reset and rotate from the beginning.
How to receive the Ascendant Challenge: First, visit Petra Venj in the Dreaming City. She is located this week right at the landing zone of the Dreaming City.
How the Ascendant Challenge 6 in the Cimmerian Garrison Works
The requirement for the bounty: Get the bounty from Petra for 1500 Glimmer. You will also need a consumable item called “Queen’s Leaf Tincture.” With this tincture, your mind will be open to the secrets of the Dreaming City for 30 minutes. You can obtain this item randomly from all possible chests you find in the city. The recommended power level for this challenge is 540.

How to enter the Ascendant Realm: In week 6, the portal is located in the Star Light Chamber of the Dreaming City. Don’t forget to take a tincture so that the portal becomes visible to you.
Once you appear at the spawn point, mount your Sparrow and head northeast (top right). Follow the passage into the area of Rheasilvia. Once you emerge outside there, stick to the right against the rock wall until you reach a gorge. Look down. There you will see a ledge marked with the sign of a Lost Sector. You need to go in there.
Now follow the path of the cave until you reach a massive underground hall. Stay left there. On a brightly lit ledge with a tree is the portal – right above the Lost Sector chest.
In the Ascendant Realm: When you pass through the portal, you will arrive in the Cimmerian Garrison of the Ascendant Realm. It is now time to demonstrate your parkour and survival skills.
Upon your arrival, some Darkness Knights will already spawn around you. You can ignore them. Follow the light as you continue up the garrison. Alongside the light orb, the enemies that appear serve as a good indicator that you are on the right path.
Along the way, further knights, phalanxes, screamers, and snipers will continually make life difficult for you. Scout rifles, sniper rifles like the Whisper of the Worm, or linear fusion rifles like the Sleeper Simulant are particularly recommended here. This way, you can battle the goblin snipers and phalanxes from a safe distance and gradually work your way through the Cimmerian Garrison.
But don’t stay too long, or the knights will close in on you. About halfway, the knights will also remove their helmets, making them faster and more aggressive. Killing them all doesn’t achieve much, as new ones will spawn continuously.
Now kill the knight: When you arrive at the altar on the last arena-shaped island, a large Ascendant Knight will spawn. This one must be defeated. Additional screamers will also appear around you, but you can ignore them unless you hide on the standing pillars in front of the knight. Only then will they shoot at you.
If you choose to fight the knight from above, be sure to take out the screamers as quickly as possible. If you are fighting on the ground and not using the pillars as escape routes, you will only need to take out some additional enemies that will spawn during the fight.
Once you have defeated the knight, the chest will also spawn. When you open it, the Ascendant Challenge is complete.
