In our Destiny 2 guide, you will learn how the upgrades for the Seraph Bunker in Season 10 work and why they are so important. Also, read about what the Warmind Bits are and how you can quickly obtain the seasonal currency.
General information about the bunker: To gain access to the bunkers, you first need to complete a few tasks for Commander Zavala. But don’t worry, it’s not a long quest line, but the introduction to the content from the Season of Worthy.
The Warmind Rasputin will contact you through the Seraph Bunkers in Season 10. Think of the bunkers as an NPC vendor. He provides you with loot quests, weapons, and all sorts of useful amenities like huge combat robots and the powerful Valkyrie.
In order for Rasputin to give you full access to all bunker functions, you must prove yourself worthy and upgrade the bunkers for the Warmind. The seasonal currencies play an important role:
- Chips
- Warmind Bits
- Encrypted Warmind Bits
In this guide, we provide an overview of which of the three currencies are used for what and what the sources of the resources are.
What you need to know about the Warmind Bunker in Season 10
Where are the Seraph Bunkers? Currently (March 17), one Seraph Bunker is active. You can find it in the ETZ, in the area “The Swamp”. A look at the roadmap shows that more Seraph Bunkers will be added during Season 10:
- On March 24, the bunker on the Moon opens
- On April 7, the bunker on Io opens
How these facilities differ from the ETZ bunker is currently unknown. We also do not currently know if there will be more bunkers later in Season 10, as the roadmap has not yet been fully revealed. In either case, we will keep you updated.
How to properly upgrade the Seraph Bunker
Your goal in Season 10 is to bring Rasputin’s defense systems online. To accomplish this, you need to improve the old Warmind Bunkers.
Upgrading the bunkers works like this: To raise the rank of the bunker and to increase the so-called integration level, you need to donate “chips.” For each rank up, 7 chips are required.
Each new rank up to level 7 grants you various bonuses. After that, you can theoretically continue to increase the rank, and you will receive group rewards for each further ascent, just like with the other vendors.

This is how you get the chips: Fortunately, you can obtain the important chips directly from the bunker itself. In the bunker inventory, there is a tab for “ETZ Bunker Upgrades.” There, you receive chips for unlocking upgrades while also getting support abilities at the same time.
You are essentially killing two birds with one stone. Through the upgrades, you can increase the bunker rank, and you will become stronger in seasonal activities like the Seraph Tower event.
Once you have unlocked all 21 upgrades, you can continue to earn chips. At the bottom of the upgrade menu, you will find the option to purchase chips directly.
The most important upgrades: The purchasable upgrades are divided into three tiers. The upgrades of the first tier are the cheapest and can be unlocked at any time without special prerequisites. If you want to afford the more expensive, but more powerful tiers, you must invest something first. The more expensive the upgrade, the more chips you will receive.
The well-known PvE expert Datto (via YouTube) recommends a specific order when purchasing upgrades. This way, you will benefit much more from your resources in the long run.
These upgrades are recommended:
- Cost Reduction: Tier 1
- Coded Warmind Bits: Tier 1
- Warmind Bit Generation: Tier 1
- Cost Reduction: Tier 3 (keep in mind that you need to unlock Tier 2 beforehand)
- Warmind Bit Generation: Tier 2
- Coded Warmind Bits: Tier 2
- Warmind Bit Generation: Tier 3
With these upgrades, you will receive about 20% more bits from almost all sources, allowing you to unlock all future upgrades faster and more cost-effectively.
How to obtain Warmind Bits in the Season of Worthy
To upgrade the Seraph Bunker, you need so-called Warmind Bits. To purchase all upgrades, you will need a fair amount of the seasonal currency. Especially at the beginning of Season 10, most Guardians have an empty bits account. We will show you how to change that.
Sources for Warmind Bits: Fortunately, the needed Warmind Bits can be obtained through a variety of ways:
- Rasputin’s loot quests from the bunker reliably yield bits
- Weekly loot quests grant 100 Warmind Bits
- Daily loot quests grant 50 Warmind Bits
- Repeatable loot quests grant 10 Warmind Bits
- Seraph Tower events provide Warmind Bits depending on performance
- Legendary Lost Sectors give Warmind Bits
- Triumphs from Season 10 grant up to 100 Warmind Bits
- Bunker Breaker quests (daily) reward you with Warmind Bits for clearing the Seraph Bunker
- Through upgrades in the bunker, you will receive Warmind Bits from almost all activities
Encrypted Warmind Bits open additional loot chests at the Seraph Tower and the Legendary Lost Sectors. Additionally, they are required for the weapon chamber and the Seraph weapons. What makes the Seventh Seraph weapons so special and explosive, you can read here.
This is how you quickly farm Warmind Bits: The bunkers will be available to you throughout Season 10. If you do not want to earn your Warmind Bits on the side, you can farm the resource purposefully. This way, you can quickly earn a few bits for another upgrade and finally call in the cool combat robot.
The well-known streamer Ehroar recommends (via YouTube) a good farming method for Warmind Bits, combining a strike with Rasputin’s loot quests. The “Sea of Shadows” can be completed very quickly and gives you a high chance of obtaining 30 bits (upgrade from above required).
Even solo, the strike can be completed in a matter of minutes, and you can work on the loot quests without interruption. According to him, the exotic shotgun Legend of Acrius serves you excellently against the Taken anomalies and the boss.
