The premium DLC Black Armory brings, among other things, a new cooperative activity to Destiny 2 – the “Forging of Chains”. Check out this video to see how the new mode plays.
Today, on December 4th, with the Weekly Reset, the Black Armory goes live. A new feature of the first premium DLC is the cooperative event “Forging of Chains”. Here, Guardians must face waves of enemies together to earn new gear from the Black Armory.

What does the video show? By now, even before the release of the Black Armory, initial gameplay footage has emerged. This way, you can get a preview of how the event roughly unfolds and how some of the new exotic weapons from the new DLC perform in practice.
By the way, the YouTuber FalloutPlays shows gameplay from the Volundr Forge, which will be available later this evening after the launch of the DLC.
What are the Forging of Chains? This is a new cooperative activity for three players in the style of the Escalation Protocol or the Blind Well, but with additional mechanics. For the first time, there is also matchmaking for such an activity.
In total, there are four “Forging of Chains”, which will be released staggered throughout the Season 5. The new vendor Ada-1 sends the Guardians to get these forges back in operation .

During the event itself, the goal is to withstand waves of opponents while also protecting and maintaining the forge. Because during this time, your rewards will be crafted according to blueprints that you receive from Ada-1.
To make progress, you need to throw a core onto the forge apparatus. These cores drop from powerful enemies that you eliminate throughout the event.
What do you think of this new activity? And how do you find the new weapons in action?
