The July Update 1.2.3 introduces some changes before the Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2. Among other things, the PvP is being adjusted. These changes are currently known.
Among the new features that the July Update will bring for Destiny 2, there is also a lot for PvP fans. In the “This Week at Bungie” blog from June 8, 2018, Bungie has now revealed more details about the changes to the Crucible.

Changes with the July Update in the Crucible
PvP enthusiasts can look forward to changes in the Crucible playlists and the Crucible ranks. These changes will go live with the release of Update 1.2.3 on July 17, 2018:
Crucible Playlist Update
Quickplay: The player count in Quickplay will be increased to 6v6, and the playlist description will be updated.
Additionally, the mode Supremacy will be removed from the available game modes and added to the weekly recommended playlist. Furthermore, this mode will also transition to the 6v6 format and will receive a win score of 150.
In the Control mode, the win score will be set to 150, and all zones will be neutral at the start of a match. In Clash, the win score will only be set to 100.
Competitive: In the competitive playlist, for the Countdown mode, the bomb detonation time will be reduced from 40 seconds to 35 seconds.

Overall: With the upcoming July Update, Bungie fulfills a great wish for many fans – the Rumble mode will become a full-time playlist.
Crucible Ranks Update
Bungie has also adjusted the rank system as part of the upcoming update:
From July 17, players will be able to earn Valor in the following playlists:
- Competitive
- Crucible Labs
- Iron Banner
- Trials of the Nine

Additionally, the win and loss streaks have been adjusted:
When you join an ongoing game, your Valor win streak for that game is protected:
- If you lose, there are no penalties for the Valor win streak
- If you win, your Valor win streak will increase
The Glory loss streaks will also be tuned:
- Consecutive losses will reduce the lost rank points instead of increasing them
- Streaks will still end at 5
Additionally, players will then be matched according to their Glory rank
- Your opponents will be of a similar rank as you
- The higher your rank, the tougher your opponents
Furthermore, all rank streaks will no longer reset when they hit the cap.
What do you think of these adjustments in the Crucible?
