You can now take a closer look at the costumes with which Destiny 2 will soon celebrate the Festival of the Lost. What will Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans be hunting for this Halloween 2020?
Halloween is also celebrated in the world of Destiny 2. However, among the Guardians, it is called the Festival of the Lost.
The event takes place from October 6th to November 3rd. All players can participate in the celebrations. Due to the shift of Beyond Light, the Festival of the Lost 2020 falls within the currently running Season 11.
Previously, some promo images for the Halloween festival were leaked. Now, you can also search through the databases (via Braytech.org) for all event items.
MeinMMO has highlighted the key features and shows how wonderfully spooky it will be this year. The disclosed triumphs have also confirmed an event activity.
Costumes for the Festival of the Lost 2020 in Destiny 2
In the galleries, we will first list all event armors for Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans. Afterwards, we will take care of masks and other cosmetics.
This is what the Lycanthrope set for Hunters looks like:
This Halloween, Hunters show their wild side. With fangs and fur, you transform into a werewolf – even without a full moon. This has been well received so far, though the canister in the mouth isn’t liked by everyone.
This is what the Daywalker set for Warlocks looks like:
With sharp teeth and elegant fashion, you transform your Warlock into a vampire that seems to have sprung from Bram Stoker’s Dracula. In the community, this noble costume is considered the winner of 2020.
This is what the Promethean set for Titans looks like:
Titans resemble Frankenstein’s monster in 2020. Makeshift seams and electrodes in the neck (helm) known from B-movies suggest this. Unfortunately, many Titans complain this year that Bungie seems to be trying to annoy them with the costume.
Here are all 8 new Halloween masks: Back on board are the quirky paper masks that exude the “I made it myself” charm.
New to the collection are characters like the Exo Stranger or Variks, who will play a significant role in Beyond Light, but also quirky things like an overflowing cauldron:
During the Festival of the Lost, you could equip masks with powerful buffs, which lose their magic after the event. For the rest of the year, the masks are just pretty cosmetics.
What other cosmetics are there? We already know that mummy looks are very trendy in Destiny this year. Additionally, some treats like another witch broom (including a kitten) and shaders, ghost shells, and emblems are included.
Ghosts and their shells will also be overhauled in the upcoming expansion: Soon to be useful AND beautiful – Beyond Light improves Ghosts
Triumphs reveal the return of the Haunted Forest for Halloween
This year, the Haunted Forest (eng. Hunted Forest) will likely be present again. For in the database entries (via Braytech.org), there are also 9 event-specific triumphs. Three of these mention that you should open treasure chests with “Cipher Decoders” in the Haunted Forest.
This should not come as a surprise to many guardians. After all, the Haunted Forest has been a staple of Halloween celebrations since 2018. We currently do not know whether or what changes we can expect in the 2020 activity.
What outfit is your personal favorite? Do you also think Titans are treated poorly by Bungie?
