Destiny 2 has undergone extensive changes to the sandbox with the update 2.1.4 – also to the supers of the individual guardian classes. The Juggernaut sub-class of the Striker Titan has particularly benefitted and now makes him an absolute annihilation machine.
What has happened? Already at the announcement of the super changes, many fans speculated how the Striker Titan would play.

Now it is clear: the Striker Titan received one of the most powerful, if not currently the most powerful PvE super of all guardian classes with the adjusted code of the Juggernaut, especially when it comes to clearing numerous enemies and enemy groups.
What has changed specifically? Overall, a lot has happened with the Striker Titan. But the decisive adjustments for the new dominance were made with the Juggernaut’s code:
- the Chaos Strike shoulder attack has been buffed. The energy cost of this ability has been reduced by 83% with the update 2.1.4
- the Trample perk can now extend the duration of the Chaos Strikes every 0.5 seconds instead of only every second with Chaos Strike kills

This is what the Striker Titan can do after the buff: These two changes in combination with the perk Reversal allow a Juggernaut Striker to regenerate his super energy and health with each kill using the Chaos Strikes. This includes kills with the shoulder attack during the active super.
As a result, the Titan can maintain his Chaos Strike super for several minutes – provided there are enough enemies. Alone, he is then for example in Gambit, in the escalation protocol or in the Blind Well capable of using his super throughout the entire round.
For this, he simply has to trigger his super and then work from enemy to enemy with the shoulder attack. In brief: As long as enough enemies cross his path, he can extend his super with the shoulder attack indefinitely.

Here’s how to further enhance the super: The exotic gloves Synthoceps pair particularly well with the revised code of the Juggernaut.
This armor exotic increases the melee jump distance of the Titan and boosts super and melee damage when surrounded. This makes it easier to eliminate groups and particularly powerful enemies.
However, the gloves do not extend the duration of the super.
This is what the Juggernaut’s code looks like in action: How this all looks in practice is demonstrated by the exceptional player Esoterickk. Thanks to the changes, he can play through a large part of the Whisper mission on Io with active super and destroy just about everything in his way.
How the Striker Titan with the Juggernaut’s code performs after the changes in Gambit can be seen in this video by Plunder thabooty:
Whether this was intended by Bungie is currently unknown. However, if used correctly, this would likely be the currently most powerful super in PvE. Only in boss fights are there better alternatives for the Titan and the other guardian classes.
What do you think of the revised code of the Juggernaut? Do you believe Bungie will roll back on this? What do you think of the other supers of the guardians after the sandbox adjustments?
