Players have been waiting long for the new expansion Witch Queen of Destiny 2, which finally celebrated its release on February 22. What do you think of the first hours? Tell us.
This is Witch Queen: Rumors and whispers about the arrival of the Witch Queen existed in the Destiny community long before the official announcement. The Hive Queen Savathûn is an important character from the Destiny universe and has already been mentioned in the lore of the first part of the franchise.
Now she is here and has even managed to give her resurrected brood the gift of light. Something that until now was reserved only for the Guardians. But now your enemies can also use the light against you, and it is up to you to figure out how the Witch Queen did it.
In addition to the story missions, the expansion brings a variety of content:
- New areas belonging to Savathûn’s massive Throne World.
- New activities for 6 players and a new raid set in the sunken pyramid.
- The new melee weapon Glaive.
- Weapon crafting, allowing you to combine weapons with mods, shaders, and a pool of stats.
- Revisions of existing content like Gambit or the light classes and more.
On the evening of February 22, the Destiny 2 servers went online again, and Guardians could dive straight into the new content, as the launch was relatively smooth this time.
