In Destiny 2, three Guardians managed to send a strike boss to the virtual afterlife in a spectacular way. They captured this in the video.
How did they take down the strike boss? A fireteam of three Hunters took out the big Cabal boss Bracus Zahn in the Nightfall strike “The Arms Dealer” with a creative invention all at once.
Normally, the fight goes through multiple phases, during which the boss also becomes immune. However, the Guardians equipped a Sparrow, a type of mount in Destiny 2, with sticky grenades all over and then drove this vehicle kamikaze-style into the boss. The Cabal leader stood no chance and was dead within seconds.
But see for yourself:
The Guardians were able to benefit from this feature: Currently, the Spring Event “The Revelry” is in full swing in Destiny 2. A special feature of the event allowed the three Guardians this particularly creative boss kill.
The three friends took advantage of a buff effect of the Revelry Elixir. This item shortens depending on choice
- the cooldown for grenades
- the cooldown for melee attacks
- the cooldown for class abilities
This was the loadout: The Guardians played the Nightfall strike “The Arms Dealer”. They experimented a bit with the various modifiers on the challenge card and with exotic gear and opted for a combination of
- 3 Gunslinger Hunters with the Light-sensor Mine Grenade (sticks to surfaces)
- Solar Surges modifier (increases solar damage)
- Grenadier modifier (shortens grenade cooldown and increases their damage)
- exotic Hunter gauntlets Ahamkara’s Spine (Light-sensor Mine Grenades last longer and have a larger explosion radius)

Thanks to the grenade buff from the Revelry Elixir, the Guardians were also able to significantly shorten the cooldown for their grenade abilities.
This allowed them to outfit the Sparrow with countless Light-sensor Mines and turn this unarmed, harmless vehicle into a deadly weapon.
That’s why many players are upset about the event elixir: The three friends receive a lot of praise and recognition from the community for this kill. This shows that one can certainly have fun at the ongoing Spring Festival and with the event elixir.
However, the Revelry Elixir does not bring fun and creative moments everywhere. Many PvP fans, for example, wish that the elixir disappears from the competitive playlist, as it robs many Guardians of any enjoyment in the Crucible.
What do you think of this boss kill? What was your most spectacular experience in Destiny 2?
