Server outages are inevitable in Destiny 2 to resolve technical issues. Thus, Guardians can expect another scheduled server maintenance today, which will likely include several important updates. MeinMMO provides information on the outages and indicates how long you won’t be able to play.
What you need to know today: On this Thursday, March 30, 2023, the new hotfix 7.0.0.7 will be implemented and will also include an update for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Players of Destiny 2 will therefore not be able to access the game during maintenance, as the servers need to go offline for a while. We will inform you how long this will be and, above all, what changes Bungie might bring to the game.
Today’s server outage follows several background maintenance sessions that have allowed Bungie to minimize the effective downtime during which you cannot play.
7:00 PM: Done. Bungie has just released the update. It is 99.3 MB on PC. Once you have downloaded it, you can log in again.

6:45 PM: Destiny 2 is now offline. Now it’s time to wait.

5:30 PM: Bungie’s servers will soon go offline for a few minutes. When maintenance begins, all players will be returned to the start screen, and ongoing activities will be ended. So let’s just enjoy the company of the virtual Neomuna residents for a bit and wonder: “Are they secretly more?”
Maintenance on 30.03. – All times for server down
These times are important today: As always, Bungie shared the exact times via Twitter and returns today to the usual 15-minute downtime routine. If everything goes optimally, you should have no major restrictions on your gaming evening.
This is the exact timetable for the maintenance:
- At 6:00 PM German time, maintenance will begin in the background across all platforms.
- From 6:45 PM, the servers will go offline and players will be automatically kicked from all activities.
- The update 7.0.0.7 will be rolled out during this time on all platforms and can be downloaded.
- The servers are expected to be back online by 7:00 PM.
- However, the ongoing background maintenance will only end at 8:00 PM, if everything goes smoothly. During this time, however, you can already play again.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications as well as the official companion app may not be correctly available for a while after the update. However, you can use the in-game loadout system introduced with Lightfall at any time.
What changes with hotfix 7.0.0.7 in Season 20
Today’s hotfix brings: Bungie is continuously addressing the errors reported since the launch of Lightfall. This includes the bug with the pre-order item “Quicksilver Storm,” which, as announced by Bungie, is set to regain its full power today.

- The Quicksilver Storm exotic auto rifle and the exotic scout rifle “Malicious Touch” have lost their 40% damage increase against enemies with red bars.
- The grenade launcher “Dimensional Hypotrochoid” can receive a range masterpiece.
- Quests not related to Lightfall will be displayed in the Lightfall quest category.
- Hunters who die and reapply Strand will lose their first Strand aspect.
- The “Thunderclap Grapple” is missing an armor synthesis ornament.
- Certain heavy weapon archetypes do not receive benefits from equipping a third reserve mod.
- The unloaded melee attack can produce rapid melee combinations in succession.
- Estimations are grayed out, as they have already been assigned in some activities.
- No artistic armor is displayed in the reward preview in Grandmaster dungeons when selecting activities.
- The activity modifier “Protected Enemies” shows a placeholder symbol.
- Players can no longer participate in competitive crucible matches after their ban in-game has expired.
- Players in Lost Sectors on the Legendary and Grandmaster difficulty may get stuck on a black screen when they land after a wipe in orbit.
- Player name changes are not infinitely customizable on bungie.net. Players are still waiting for the option to be able to change their player name again instead of receiving the message “You have no name changes available.”
- There may be unintentional character deletions due to faulty startup processes in Destiny 2.
