In Destiny 2, the third hotfix for Season 17 is coming. The servers will go offline today, June 28, for hotfix 4.1.0.4 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia. MeinMMO is accompanying the server downtime and will let you know when you can’t play.
What you need to know today: The servers will be taken offline for a short downtime today. However, you won’t have to wait long to log back in, as it is just a small maintenance.
We will accompany the server downtime and inform you about the changes you can expect after the hotfix.
7:15 PM – The hotfix is out and is 101.19 MB on PC. After the download, you should be able to jump back into the fight.
Maintenance on 28.06. – All times and server downtime
These times are important today: As always, the actual unavailability of the servers is expected to be just 45 minutes today. The time when you can’t play will be very short.

- At 5:00 PM German time, maintenance will start in the background on all platforms.
- From 6:15 PM, the servers will go offline, and you will be automatically kicked from all activities.
- Around 7:00 PM, the servers should come back online, and hotfix 4.1.0.4 will be rolled out for all platforms. However, you can log in to play again from then on.
- The maintenance for hotfix 4.1.04 is officially expected to end at 11:00 PM.
It’s important: Even if you have downloaded the update and are back in the game, there may be connection issues until the maintenance ends around 11:00 PM. You might also have to deal with queues when logging in. Additionally, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be accessible correctly.
What changes with hotfix 4.1.0.4 in Season 17
What the hotfix brings today: After hotfix 4.1.0.4, the Guardians can expect a new week. However, Bungie is likely to address a few bugs and issues before that.
MeinMMO lists here some of the issues that Bungie will fix in this update:
- A problem where players could shoot through barricades, “Barricade of Dawn,” and thin walls when the “Piercing Weapons” artifact mods and “Armor-Piercing Rounds” weapon mods were equipped.
- The artifact mod “Piercing Weapons” will be reactivated.
- A problem where the shader effects “Crucible Red” caused issues with photosensitivity.
- A problem where “Peacekeepers” did not activate the intended “Effectiveness in the Air” buff.
