In Destiny 2, it has been announced that Bungie is holding a new community summit. The topic is Season 7 – the Season of Opulence.
Where does the information come from? From Gladd. He is a Guardian who has made a name for himself in the community. Not only is he known as a “full-time streamer” and YouTuber, but also as a competitive PvE player.
As a member of the clan Redeem, he has already earned several World-First titles in Destiny raids, like last September in the “Last Wish” raid.
What did Gladd reveal? Recently, the streamer wrote on Twitter that he can announce: “I have been invited to the Bungie studio for a community summit for the Season of Opulence.”
Furthermore, he writes that he is very passionate about the future of the game. He can hardly wait to catch a glimpse of the future content and provide (community) feedback. The community summit will take place at the end of March from the 27th to the 29th.
Community manager dmg04 has already responded to this tweet. He wrote: “Don’t fuck it up.”
The participants, mostly well-known YouTubers and streamers, had to sign a non-disclosure agreement and could review and evaluate the planned content for Forsaken behind closed doors. That Forsaken was able to significantly improve Destiny 2 was possibly also due to this summit.
Season 7 is also expected to benefit from this direct feedback from the community.

What can be expected from the 2nd community summit and Season 7?
This is known: So far, we only know from Gladd that this meeting focuses on the Season of Opulence. This is Season 7, which is supposed to run from early June to the end of August 2019.
Which community representatives other than Gladd are involved is not known.
The contents of Season 7: In addition to the usual updates like a power level increase, new weapons, armor pieces, and cosmetics, the highlights of Season 7 are:
- An exotic quest
- The event Solstice of Heroes
- A new 6-player activity with player matchmaking
- A new raid
- Two unknown contents

Whether Gladd, as a raid expert, will be allowed to test the new raid and provide feedback on it is unlikely. Otherwise, he probably would not be participating in the World-First title race.
What other 6-player activity with player matchmaking it will be in Season 7 remains to be seen. Possibly the testers will be allowed to provide feedback on it.
One can only hope that the final season in year 2 can meet the expectations of the Guardians and thus everyone can benefit from the community summit.
