In a short teaser, Bungie hints at the return of 3-Tap Hand Cannons in PvP from Destiny 2 and reveals more cool details.
With just a 17-second teaser trailer, Bungie promotes the upcoming Combat Reveal Stream next Tuesday, August 7th. However, the clip contains far more details than some might suspect.
3-Tap Hand Cannons are returning in PvP: Numerous Guardians immediately noticed this detail, but Bungie itself made it very clear through several tweets: 3-Tap Hand Cannons will apparently make a return in the Crucible with the Forsaken expansion.
Destiny veterans fondly remember hand cannons like Eyasluna or the Palindrome, which dominated the Crucible in Destiny 1. Now, hand cannons could possibly become more popular in Destiny 2 soon.
What does the video show? A Guardian with the hand cannon Better Devils takes down his opponent with just three shots. While there are already a few hand cannons in Destiny 2 that can kill with three precision hits in PvP (110 RPM archetype), the Better Devils has definitely not been one of them until now.
Additionally, the third and thus deadly shot in the video appears to be a body shot rather than a precision shot. This shot is not delivered through the sights but fired from the hip.
Another detail: Furthermore, one can now assume with quite a bit of certainty that the IKELOS shotgun from the Escalation Protocol will move into the special or one of the two quick slots.
Because the Guardian in the video carries the exotic sniper Whisper of the Worm on his back and has the IKELOS shotgun actively equipped. The Whisper sniper will remain in the power slot in Year 2 – this has already been confirmed. Additionally, his setup is completed by the hand cannon Better Devils, which is also expected to remain kinetic in Year 2.
