Vicarious Visions will now work on Destiny
Over Twitter, Bungie announced that Vicarious Visions, an Activision studio, will become a partner of Bungie to expand the award-winning Destiny universe. The development studio has already worked on numerous titles, including the Skylanders games since 2007. It was acquired by the publisher Activision in 2005.
Now three studios are working on the future of Destiny. Bungie has already received support from Highmoon Studios since late 2015, known for their Transformers games. This studio also belongs to Activision, the publisher of Destiny.
Will the other rumors also prove to be true?
Interestingly: in late September, Kotaku reported that several sources had consistently revealed information about Destiny 2. Among them was also the claim that Vicarious Visions would help with the sequel. However, at that time, they were just rumors, unverified claims from anonymous sources.
But now the question arises whether the other rumors are also true, about which reports were made back then. According to these, Destiny 2 is supposed to be a completely different game. While The Taken King only fixed “smaller things”, Destiny 2 will be a complete overhaul for the major elements. And the title is also supposed to be released on PC, it was said at that time.
