In Destiny 2, two new Exotics have been introduced with the anniversary patch. We will show you which ones they are and how they are received by players here on MeinMMO.
What kind of weapons are they? They are two new Exotics. The Gjallarhorn, known from Destiny 1, which always brought the Son of Oryx to his knees. And a pistol inspired by Halo. Both weapons were implemented as part of the 30th anniversary of Bungie. Now Guardians have the opportunity to hunt for them after the 3.4.0 update.
How do I access the weapons? The “Pioneer” pistol can be acquired by any player, with or without the purchased anniversary DLC. However, to get the Gjallarhorn, you must have purchased the DLC, otherwise you will not have access to the associated quest.
A Legend and a Crossover
Anyone who has played Halo and Destiny 1 knows the two weapons. The Gjallarhorn is one of the most powerful weapons in the Destiny lore, which a boss has ever seen. Every Halo fan should enjoy the pistol as it is styled after the well-known M6 Magnum.

What can the weapon do? The exotic rocket launcher in the Heavy slot sends a rocket towards your enemies. When the projectile hits your desired target, it splits into smaller homing cluster projectiles that seek out enemies again.
The homing module in the weapon helps you. With this, every targeted enemy is tracked by the rocket.
Does the weapon live up to its reputation? The community does not seem to think that the weapon is so OP that it needs to be locked behind nerf barriers. The new toy of the Guardians has actually been well balanced and enjoys a good reputation. Players write comments on social networks like:

Pioneer
What can the weapon do? This is a pistol powered by special ammunition. You can shoot single shots or fire automatically at your enemies, benefiting from an increased rate of fire.
For a pistol, the Pioneer has an outstanding range with an almost maximum reload speed. The new firearm shines in almost all stats and even has a scope when aiming.
What do the Guardians say? Guardians are happy that Bungie is finally bringing a high-damage pistol into the collection. They say that the weapon pairs well with a submachine gun. With such a combo, you have every distance covered and have a hand-sized sniper as well.

Bungie has delivered very strong exotics in Destiny 2 that are really balanced. Only time will tell if the nerf hammer will be thrown again. For now, though, Guardians have time to chase after new treasures and benefit from them.
