The last Weekly Reset in Destiny 2 on July 9 brought not only some activities for players with the Triumphs of 2019 and the Tribute Hall. Also, the Pulse Rifle Bad Juju from Destiny 1 made its return.
Players found an exploit just a few days after the weapon was in the game, allowing them to acquire the Pulse Rifle without much hassle.
What is this exploit? Only a few days after the Tribute Hall and the Pulse Rifle Bad Juju arrived in Destiny 2, players discovered a new exploit. This allows them to obtain the weapon more easily than Bungie intended.
With the exploit, players only need to spend some time instead of having to complete bounties and spend materials, Glimmer, and Enhancement Prisms on the normal way.
Here on MeinMMO, we will not provide you with a guide for this exploit. However, this “shortcut” is already well known in the community and is spreading rapidly at the moment.
This is by no means the first exploit that allows players to bypass in-game mechanics. The last exploit, where the final chest of the Menagerie could be opened multiple times, was just fixed with the last patch.
Before that, players could pause time during the quest for the Perfected Outbreak.
What else do you have to do for the weapon? Bad Juju is tied to a simple quest line, which can take a long time if you don’t have enough resources.
Players need to earn Tributes from Calus, which they can either earn through gameplay or purchase at his statue in the Tribute Hall.
The Tributes come at a very high price, which can be lowered through daily bounties. However, this mechanic seems to be currently bugged, as it only counts for one character instead of all.
You can read in our guide how to obtain the weapon.
What does Bungie say about the exploit? The exploit is widely discussed in the community and is spreading quickly. Players who are not far along in the Tribute Hall are happy that they can shorten the grind with this method.
Other players, especially those who have already spent a lot of materials, find the exploit unfair. They wish that Bungie would take away the exotic gesture and the weapon from the Guardians who used this method.
Bungie has not yet commented on the exploit. However, a minor maintenance is scheduled for tonight at 7 PM German time in the background of Destiny 2. No downtime is expected.
Players expect that some issues will be fixed that came with the last patch. Others hope that the developers will also put an end to the exploit.
