In Destiny 2, four new weapons from the Trials of the Nine are available. Here is an overview of them.
Since the “Curse of Osiris” DLC, you can earn new weapons exclusively through the Trials of the Nine. So far, there have been eight Trials weapons, and now four new guns have been added to the loot pool.
We present the four new weapons, all of which belong to the legendary quality, along with their perks.
Determination – Scout Rifle
The new scout rifle from the Trials is called Determination. It deals kinetic damage and belongs to the same archetype as the MIDA Multi-Tool (fire rate 200). Compared to this top weapon, Determination has slightly better stability, but the MIDA excels in all other stats. However, it also requires the exotic slot.
Determination has a strong, fixed perk:
Explosive Rounds: Projectiles create an explosion upon impact
You have the choice between:
Sprinting:When sliding, the weapon magazine is partially charged and range and stability are temporarily improved.
Hip Fire Grip: Ergonomic grip that improves both precision and stability when firing from the hip.
In addition, you can influence stability, range, and weapon readiness speed with Extended Barrel, Small Caliber, and Fluted Barrel.
YouTuber xHOUNDIShx has tested all the new Trials weapons. In his opinion, Determination is a strong weapon that is not only powerful in PvE with explosive rounds but also performs well in PvP. It performs similarly to the MIDA, making it relatively easy to hit headshots thanks to its high stability. He even finds Determination to be better than the Midnight without a Name in PvP – a powerful legendary scout rifle.
Darkness Ahead – Pulse Rifle
Darkness Ahead is an exciting pulse rifle. It falls into the category of rapid-fire pulse rifles with a fire rate of 540 and is carried in the energy slot. It is the first pulse rifle in this archetype that can be used fully automatic.
The perks:
Fully Automatic Trigger System:When the trigger is held down, this weapon fires automatically.
You have the choice between:
Sprinting:When sliding, the weapon magazine is partially charged and range and stability are temporarily improved.
Fast Draw:This weapon can be drawn more quickly.
With Arrowhead Brake, Chambered Compensator, and Small Caliber, you can influence range, stability, weapon readiness speed, and recoil.
Especially at close to medium range, you can pump bullets into opponents with Darkness Ahead in PvP. It is likely one of the best pulse rifles for the Crucible.
Last Breath – Auto Rifle
Last Breath introduces a new kinetic auto rifle to the game. It has a fire rate of 600, shooting faster than an Uriel’s Gift.
The perks:
Aspiring Assassin:Overcharges the magazine based on the number of rapid kills before reloading.
You have the choice between:
Sprinting:When sliding, the weapon magazine is partially charged and range and stability are temporarily improved.
Dynamic Recoil Reduction:When the trigger is held down, the recoil reduction system gradually improves accuracy.
With Extended Barrel, Slightly Longer Barrel, and Chambered Compensator, you can influence range, weapon readiness speed, stability, and recoil.
Thanks to Aspiring Assassin, you will receive a significantly larger magazine upon your next reload if you have eliminated many opponents beforehand. This is an advantage that is only useful in PvE. In PvP, there are auto rifles that perform significantly better.
Cold Sweat – Hand Cannon
Cold Sweat is the new Trials hand cannon. It is carried in the energy slot and has a fire rate of 180.
The perks:
Grave Robber:Melee kills partially reload the magazine.
You have the choice between:
Wuuusch!:When sliding, the weapon magazine is partially charged and handling and stability are temporarily improved.
With Quickdraw HV, Crossfire HV, and Secure Shot HV, you can influence weapon readiness speed, stability, and range.
Cold Sweat is similar to a pistol due to its high fire rate and is only useful at close range. The Grave Robber perk also makes the gun an interesting option if you want to engage in close combat. However, in PvP and high-level content, Cold Sweat does not perform well.
