In Destiny 2 you return to the Felwinter Peak. There is a PvP map called Vostok.
IGN released three new exclusive videos as part of their “IGN First” format. These videos focus once again on the PvP of Destiny 2.
A few days ago, the revamped Control mode was presented along with the Crucible map “Endless Vale”, and now it’s on to the map “Vostok”. This should all seem familiar to you.
Back on Felwinter Peak – Vostok
The first story mission from “Destiny: Rise of Iron” led you to Felwinter Peak, which you had to free from Fallen. Afterwards, Felwinter Peak is used as a social space, a new meeting point.
In Destiny 2 you return to Felwinter Peak. Because there will be a PvP map called Vostok. This map is not located directly in the former social space, but right next to it. From there, you have a good view of the meeting area.
Vostok is described by the environment artist Jeff Horal as a “complex map”. There are two “towers” at the control zones that you can use as a “fortress” to take cover. From there you can snipe across the entire map.
In the middle of the map is a small tunnel system that connects the different areas of the map. Close-range battles take place there.
Additionally, the symbols of the Iron Banner can be found on the Vostok map. There are also doodles visible on some walls.
According to Horal, Felwinter Peak is pretty much the only area from Destiny 1 that will return in Destiny 2. It is already known that in the first story mission, players will also fight on the Tower from Destiny 1. Otherwise, Destiny 2 will take you to new worlds.
IGN released two more videos where you can see gameplay footage on Vostok.

By the way: Sometimes the music from “Rise of Iron” plays in the background on the map.
