In Destiny 2, the Festival of the Lost 2019 ends next Tuesday. Bungie announced that Eva Levante still has one last trick up her sleeve. Players are now speculating about what that could be.
About this event: The Festival of the Lost is essentially Destiny’s Halloween. The Guardians mourn the Lost and everything is spooky decorated.
But not everything is sad. As is customary for Halloween, players can collect candy and dress up in spooky masks. Along with the festival, some activities like the Haunted Forest and the new dungeon have made their way into Destiny 2.
The event is almost over; with the reset on November 19, the haunting will come to an end for now. But according to Bungie, there should still be one last surprise waiting for the Guardians.
There is still a surprise: In the yesterday’s community letter (TWAB), the Destiny developer announced that players have a few more days to collect candy. You have until Tuesday to complete your collection of masks or Eververse items and to get the auto rifle Braytech Werewolf.
In addition, Eva Levante is said to have another trick up her sleeve to surprise us. Bungie was mysterious about this. They do not want to reveal the ‘trick.’ Players must uncover the mystery themselves.
A Last Trick
The Guardians are guessing: The Destiny community loves to speculate. Thus, the lively speculation and guessing about Eva’s surprise quickly began. We want to share some theories with you:
- Some Guardians hope for a previously hidden exo-quest. Last year, the Festival of the Lost featured the exotic machine gun Thunderlord. However, we consider the chances of that rather slim.
- Some players argued that the surprise was probably just the hidden spider triumph. Guardians can unlock this since Tuesday.

Other theories focus on a dozen masked ghosts. Under the stairs in the Tower Bazaar – where robot Benedict used to be found – Guardians encounter a strange sight.
Squeezing past some boards and cobwebs, a handful of eerie figures await the player in a rather calm manner. Could this eerie procession have something to do with the last Halloween surprise?
