In the beta of Destiny 2 Guardians have found a new hobby, they are bringing Cabal ships down from the sky.
In Destiny 2, the remnants of humanity are driven to the brink of annihilation by militant space turtles. The Cabal represent a kind of futuristic vision of the Roman Empire in XXL.
Some say they symbolize the “law of the strongest”, a world where warlords have the say and military power trumps all.

The Cabal are pragmatic militarists with a drive for expansion: Anything in the way is cleared aside, if necessary they blow up planets. They envy humanity for its role as the “chosen people of the Traveler”, thinking of them as soft zombies who rely on being resurrected by the Traveler when they fail.
Nice guys.
Destiny 2 – Kill Gary
These Cabal are attacking the Tower, destroying everything Guardians built in Destiny 1, even letting the air out of the sacred ball. A true Guardian cannot let this go by.

In the beta of Destiny 2 first Guardians are now bringing Cabal ships down from the sky. It’s not that easy, but it works if you ignite your super and unleash a “Golden Gun” on the ship.

Here in the clip you can see the attempt by Redditor JAMeador13 to really show the Cabal what’s what:
Despite success, disappointment is great.
The ship simply explodes unremarkably: No loot, no light sphere, nothing special happens. The Guardians stand there with an empty super and look dejected. It seems that the militaristic turtles cannot be so easily fended off.
