The Guardians in Destiny 2 may have lost their resilience after a faulty patch. Some players report that their values no longer provide the expected damage resistance, making the game more challenging. Now, calculations are being frantically made.
That’s why resilience is so important in Destiny 2: For those unfamiliar, resilience values in Destiny 2 represent a Guardian’s damage resistance. The higher the resilience, the less damage is taken from enemies.
- Resilience is extremely important for any Guardian who wants to succeed in difficult challenges.
- Those who are at maximum, with a value of 100, can withstand at least 30% more damage.
This is how buggy resilience is: Since the midseason update last Tuesday, several players have reported that their resilience values apparently no longer function correctly. They indicated a significant difference in damage resistance that does not match the expected value.
Player n3ws4cc opened a Reddit post and asked the Destiny community if it was just his impression.

Other Guardians also responded to his post and shared that they have the same impression. As player Lankygit commented: “That explains it. This is probably the most significant bug in patch [7.0.5.0] because it affects all difficulty levels and becomes more critical as the difficulty of the content increases.”
Players suspect a bug with resilience: It is almost certain that this is a resilience bug.
Some players shared videos and test results where they experimented with resilience and damage resistance mods. It appears that there seems to be “no difference in their performance” so far.
However, it must be noted that there is also the possibility that a change in the patch, such as an old and no longer functioning mod combination or too many now non-stackable mods, could also negatively affect the resilience of the affected players.
What does Bungie say about the problem? Bungie Help, the official support account of the Destiny developer, has already commented under the Reddit post. They stated that they have not encountered this yet but want to use the information from these player tests to potentially initiate an investigation with the Bungie team.
So far, however, this is the only feedback. No patch or solution has officially been provided yet. Therefore, one must wait for when Bungie’s official channels will announce more on this.
If you also notice problems with your resilience, unfortunately there isn’t much you can do about it other than wait and hope for a fix from Bungie. Some fans have also suggested avoiding certain, hard activities until the bug is fixed.
