In Destiny 2, a Guardian has developed a cool tool that allows you to cause quite a bit of mischief with the Drifter – and with Lord Shaxx – Bungie likes it.
What kind of tool is it? The Guardian “as-com” proudly presents his latest development on reddit: A Drifter soundboard.
The Guardian extracted the audio files of the Drifter and built them into an interface, so you can play his voice lines at the push of a button:
In addition to his famous Gambit intro “Alright, alright, alright” (in German “Okay, okay, okay”) and the announcements of the enemy races, the soundboard contains many other exclamations.
Especially cool are his numerous “Wooo!” shouts, of which he has quite a few different ones, and his “Thing!” The “Thing” he says since Season 6 in a fresh animation when he jingles his coin.
The community has already mocked the Drifter with his “Thing” in many funny videos.
Now you can mix the “Thing” sounds yourself with the soundboard or let the Drifter recite all kinds of Woo calls (of which he has a hell of a lot, even before and after longer voice lines). Here’s the link to the soundboard. Keep in mind that the audio files are in English.
The creator of the soundboard states that he had to create this. And the community agrees: it is very “very cool”, you can’t stop using this soundboard.
Maybe you feel like this user who commented: “Clicking the “Woo’s” as fast as possible shouldn’t entertain me that much, but it does.”
This is what Bungie says: A few hours ago, Bungie’s community manager dmg04 posted in the reddit forum. He seems to like this tool too, as he replied: “I didn’t know I needed something like this in my life so badly!”
Voice Lines of Lord Shaxx
The Drifter soundboard is celebrated in the comments and has already received more than 5,300 upvotes. Many Guardians wrote that they also need a soundboard for the voice lines of Lord Shaxx.
Another Guardian stopped everything and created such a soundboard within a few hours.
