Destiny 2 and Fortnite have entered into a collaboration, shocking both communities. But the surprises don’t stop with the skins that have been released for both titles.
Is there more to gain? Epic Games and Bungie have entered into a collaboration and officially revealed it to the viewers during their big showcase.
Destiny 2 received three ornament sets for this occasion, designed after the most famous skins from Fortnite. Epic Games has done the same for Fortnite. Players can still buy the skins of Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey, and the Exo Stranger for V-Bucks.
Now, Epic Games is not stopping there; they are even giving players the 30th Anniversary Pack, a small DLC for Destiny 2 for every Guardian who decides to switch to their launcher. You can then secure the expansion for free in the store, but only for a limited time.

Is there a catch? The problem is that many PC players currently play Destiny 2 on Steam. They have unlocked all achievements, own most of their DLCs, and feel comfortable there.
A switch to Epic Games would not be feasible for everyone, despite the free DLC. However, if you are a newcomer, you can discover a fun side of the loot shooter with this DLC in the Epic Games Launcher and possibly dive deeper into the world of the sci-fi universe.
How long is the offer valid? The offer for the free DLC is valid until August 30, at 7:00 PM. After that, you’ll have to pay the full €25 for the expansion.
Can I still benefit from this? If you don’t necessarily want to switch to the Epic Games Launcher but still want to earn the Gjallarhorn, you can still do so.
You can earn every item and weapon and then switch back to Steam with them. The items will not be taken away or locked from you. So you can even run around with the Gjallarhorn on Steam without the DLC, as long as you earn it and have it in your inventory.
The only thing that will be locked are the activities – these are platform-dependent. So if you don’t own the DLC on Steam, you will need to purchase it to continue participating in the Xur game show.
