It seems that the long journey through the Mammoth puzzle was meant only for the pioneers among the Guardians. Bungie has now announced that the quest for the new exotic weapon Bastion will be easier to obtain in Destiny 2 soon.
This is the quest: In Destiny 2, you can currently earn a new exotic weapon – the fusion rifle Bastion. The corresponding quest was initially supposed to go live on January 28 according to the roadmap.
However, after the community solved the gigantic puzzle surrounding the Corridors of Time on January 20, after 6 days of hard work, the quest surprisingly went live as a result of the Mammoth puzzle. Since then, the third and possibly last new weapon exotic of Season 9 has been obtainable.
What exactly is going to change? It seems that the monumental endeavor and pioneering work has cleared the way for numerous Guardians to follow the regular quest process.
Because Bungie has now announced on Twitter that the Bastion quest will be available from Saint-14 in the Tower for all Season Pass holders directly after the weekly reset on January 21, thanks to the hard work of numerous community members.
In short: Apparently, you won’t have to do anything that was previously necessary to obtain the Bastion quest from this evening onwards. It seems that you can comfortably pick up the quest directly from the 14th Saint.
How has it been with the quest so far? Those who want to have the new weapon exotic currently do not have to struggle through the entire puzzle, but they still can’t avoid going through a lengthy symbol code process at the moment.
The annoying part: A mistake means you have to run the entire sequence again – this happens easily, costing a lot of time and nerves. Additionally, for some Guardians, the quest bugs after completing the code and can’t be picked up, started, or completed.
This should hopefully change from this evening onwards.
What do you think about the path to Bastion becoming easier? By the way, the January Iron Banner starts tonight. There is also a change there:
