In Destiny 2, it’s hard to get the most desired rewards from the Trials of Osiris, but from October 9 to 13, you will receive the best primary weapon just for participating.
Why now in the Trials? The Trials of Osiris are the endgame activity for PvP. The goal is to get 7 consecutive victories in the best-case scenario to reach the Lighthouse and the best weapons – a really tough task if you’re not a crucible virtuoso.
But from October 9 to 13, you will get the best weapon from the Trials just for participating – you don’t need a single victory.
This continues Bungie’s trend from recent weeks, showing a generous side until the release of Beyond Light:
This is the weapon in question: The Summoner auto rifle is by far the best primary weapon from the Trials and for many even the best legendary primary weapon in all of Destiny 2 – when it comes to PvP. Only the Gorging rivals it.
Why the gun is so good: In the Sandbox of Season 11, auto rifles dominate. Especially the 600 RPM ones, like the Summoner, are useful in all situations. Its TTK value is 0.7 seconds, outperforming even popular hand cannons like Notration (0.8 seconds).
The Summoner has naturally good stats. Especially the high handling makes the weapon feel good in your hands. Moreover, the weapon has a hidden perk that makes it increasingly precise the longer you shoot.
Since the Summoner deals solar damage, it can be paired with many strong kinetic weapons:
- Ranged attackers use the most dominant PvP sniper Recluse
- Melee fighters opt for the best special weapon from the Trials: the shotgun Astral Horizon
- For mid-range and against enemy supers, the exotic Bastion is suitable
The overall package of the Summoner is rounded off by a strong perk pool. Therefore, almost every drop is useful.
Get the Summoner easily in the Trials from October 9 to 13
How to get the weapon now: Recently, Bungie introduced a weekly bounty for the Trials. This allows the reward for 3 victories to be earned just by participating. This weekend, Guardians will get the Summoner for 3 victories.
This means even if you don’t record a single victory, you just need to complete matches to fill the bounty and get your version of the popular auto rifle.
In short: Get the bounty “End Game” from Saint-14 and complete a few rounds!
How to make the most of the Trials weekend? The great thing about it is, you can theoretically tackle the bounty once with all 3 characters. This way, you secure multiple versions of the Summoner and just need to die through the matches.
If you manage to get 3 victories, you will receive another Summoner on top of that. With your earned tokens, you will also have additional chances for the weapon.
- With 5 victories, you will receive the Trials gloves
- 7 victories guarantee the Trials helm
- Flawless rewards you with the Trials class emblem
The easy availability is likely to attract more players. This increases the player pool and you will encounter less powerful enemies.
Even if you don’t have friends on hand, there is a current increase in looking for teammates with the Companion app and other LFG platforms (often even without a microphone).
Are you jumping into the Trials this weekend? What do you think of the ongoing generosity in Destiny 2?
