Actually, the Iron Banner was supposed to return in the long-awaited 6vs6 format on Tuesday, April 10. Many Guardians were eagerly looking forward to this event. But that will not happen for now!
A severe bug causes the postponement of the April Iron Banner
A severe bug discovered during internal testing just before the start of the April Iron Banner makes a start on April 10 impossible.
Apparently, the bug causes players to be kicked to orbit with error code ANTEATER once a certain score or time condition is reached. Bungie is indeed working hard on a fix, but it will not be ready before April 10. Therefore, the Iron Banner is postponed.
Rumble steps in
Instead of the Iron Banner, the Rumble mode will be active in the weekly Crucible playlist next Tuesday – already in improved form.
On April 10, hotfix 1.1.4.1 will reduce the player count in Rumble to 6 and improve the spawn mechanics. This should at least resolve the issues with Rumble when it goes live on April 10. The Iron Banner will return once the bug is fixed.
