Christmas is the time of gratitude and gifts in Destiny 2. With the Dawning event next week, you can show your gratitude to the NPCs with fresh cookie deliveries and earn Glimmer gifts as well as winter items. However, it’s also the time when Eva Levante fulfills ultimate wicked wishes.
If you wish for something in Destiny 2, it can actually come true. Bungie has been often surprising lately. Should Xur become more important again? Now he is your new quiz show master with funny quotes. Do you miss the mysterious, interstellar space horse from the Season of the Renegade? Since early December, you can visit the translucent space horse in the latest 6-player activity and be accompanied by its whinny.
What would you wish for from Bungie? In the past months, Bungie asked the Destiny 2 community what personal Dawning wish they would direct to Eva Levante if they had one wish. The response was enormous, and the ideas under the Twitter tweet were true heartfelt wishes of the players (via Twitter).
- On the wishlist of YouTuber Kackis-HD was the return of the weapons from the Black Armory.
- Moira-DTM wished for a way to adjust their Guardian’s appearance post-factum.
- Player D1 Alpha-Vet had three wishes at once. Return of the Sparrow Racing League, Iron Banner ornaments from Season 3, and Trials of the Nine armor ornaments for the Prophecy dungeon.
- Lastly, player HNT-3R wrote to Eva: “Just give me the damn ‘Tobey Maguire Dance Emote’”
And the winner is: The ultimate wickedest dance move ever. By now, Guardians in Destiny 2 have discovered the emote “Ultra Cool Dance” in the game, and it was clear at that point which Christmas wish Eva fulfilled for the community.
Where does the new emote come from? This cult dance comes from the Hollywood debut of Spider-Man 3 in 2007. There, Spider-Man (played by Tobey Maguire), possessed by the Venom symbiote and thus transformed into a narcissist, dances to the song “People Get Up and Drive Your Funky Soul”, a remix of a James Brown song.
The dance remains a popular meme to this day, splitting a generation of Spider-Man fans. Some thought the dance was super cool and celebrated the hip swing, while others would rather quickly forget this “ultimate wicked” dance move out of embarrassment.
This is how the Destiny 2 community reacts: On Reddit, opinions were mixed. Some players thought it was cool. Others see it only as a ploy for Bungie to earn more from the Eververse.

Where can you get the new emote? Currently, the new dance emote “Ultra Cool Dance” is only available for 500 Silver in the Eververse shop among the items for the 30th anniversary in Destiny 2. However, we know that you will also be able to purchase it for 700 Glimmer after the Weekly Reset on January 4, 2022, in the new year.
