What has Bungie already revealed about the story of Destiny 2 “Forsaken”? It will be a western with a prison break and you are hunting 8 Barons.
This is what we already know about the story: Bungie has already established some cornerstones for the story of “Forsaken” in Destiny 2. The ViDoc had 2 minutes of information about the story.
Cayde-6 can finally be a cowboy
Destiny 2 with a western vibe: The add-on is supposed to have a different tone overall. Already in the presentation, it seeks closeness to the western. Destiny 2 is supposed to become “darker” and “rougher.” They show spores and guns. The story takes place in a new part of the Reef, a barren asteroid landscape overrun by outlaws: this is the “Tangled Shore”, the first zone.
Everything starts with a prison break: The cowboy and sheriff of Destiny 2 is Cayde-6, who has filled a prison with the scum of the galaxy. But they escape at the start of “Destiny 2” and must be recaptured. During this, you will be hunting 8 Barons, each of whom is supposed to have a distinct characteristic. In the concept art for Forsaken, you can see the 8 figures. Bungie has already revealed that one will be a powerful melee fighter and another a sniper.
This could be the quest: It is quite conceivable that the 8 Barons will make up the bulk of the story of Forsaken. It looks like they will be 8 mini-bosses that players will hunt and defeat with their own weapons. This promises a sniper duel with the sniper.
You will be hunted: It is said that you will be hunted in this area by the “Scorn”, an apparently criminal organization that especially acts aggressively and harshly.
Destiny 2 takes on Firefly: This is now the direction that was already suspected in the base game of Destiny 2. Because “Cayde-6” is voiced by Nathan Fillion, the star of the sci-fi series “Firefly.” Many other actors from the series can also be heard in the English version of Destiny 2. Firefly also linked themes from the western with science fiction. In the base game of Destiny 2, only “Cayde-6” was found as a typical western figure, but in “Forsaken” Bungie apparently wants to emphasize that even more.
