As part of the ongoing Gamescom, Bungie has released a new cinematic for Destiny 2 Forsaken. “Gunslinger’s Last Stand” is meant to be a final tribute to the soon-to-be-gone Cayde-6.
Guardians can look forward to another cinematic for Destiny 2 Forsaken. The main role in “The Last Stand of the Gunslinger” will be played by the Hunter Cayde-6, from whom players must say goodbye in the upcoming expansion. The new video revolves around Cayde’s fight in the Prison of Elders, where the bad guys are breaking out of their cells.

Bungie says goodbye to Cayde
Cinematic shown at Gamescom: The new Forsaken cinematic featuring the charismatic Exo-Hunter premiered at Gamescom. Attendees were able to watch the video on the Blizzard main stage, while those at home were provided with a livestream.
Cinematic different from E3 trailer: The new trailer showcased a different ending for Cayde-6 than what was shown in the story trailer for E3. It’s possible that the shown images are part of Forsaken’s first mission.
Press representatives who have already played the first mission of the expansion have revealed that the developers spare no effort to troll players with the approaching death of the beloved character.
Teaser reveals new voice: Bungie previously released a small teaser for the upcoming trailer. In the short scene, Cayde urges the inmates of the prison to return to their cells.
What players who play Destiny 2 in the original English version will immediately notice is the slightly altered voice of the Vanguard Hunter. Nathan Fillion will no longer voice Cayde in Forsaken. Instead, the character will be voiced by Nolan North, whom players already know as their Ghost.
Interestingly, Nathan Fillion just finished filming a short film where he took on the role of the Uncharted protagonist Nathan Drake. In the games, Nolan North lends his voice to Drake.
What did you think of the new trailer? Will you miss Cayde even more now, or are you glad that the Hunter will soon be off the scene?
