With the new expansion Forsaken, they have finally returned: Random Rolls, random weapon perks that we so painfully missed at the launch of Destiny 2. We take a look at the currently best pulse rifles and explain to you how you can successfully tackle every content with these rolls.
Finally more variety: While the loot collection at the launch of Destiny 2 was monotonous and boring, Guardians now finally feel excitement with every weapon drop.
Before Forsaken, every weapon roll was always the same, now dozens of perk combinations can drop at our feet, which can drastically change the behavior of the respective weapon.

But what weapons and perk combinations should you look out for? Pulse rifle lovers, pay attention! Redditor Pandapaxxy has compiled an extensive list of the best weapons in Forsaken that we would like to present to you.
We present various pulse rifles and perk combinations with which you can triumph against both aliens and human opponents!

This is how the best weapons were chosen: Redditor pandapaxxy based the values of a weapon that are fixed. These include stability, reload speed, range, and aim assist.
Missing weapon XY? Then it has lost the comparison against a representative on this list. However, this is not a problem; play with the weapons that suit you and are fun.
Note: The list only includes weapons with random perks introduced with Forsaken. Only a few representatives from Year 1 were carried over with random rolls.

There will also only be legendary weapons with random rolls in the overviews. Exotic weapons as well as guns that only come with fixed perks will not be considered here.
This does not mean that guns with fixed properties must be worse. Specifically, the weapons from the “Last Wish” raid are competitive in almost every respect and often come with perfect rolls.
Pulse Rifles – It Matters What Roll You Get!
Few other weapon classes are as dependent on their special properties as pulse rifles. Stability, recoil, aim assist, and range are by far the most important parameters for salvo rifles.

Since pulse rifles do not fire single bullets but bursts of 3 or 4 shots, if you play a pulse rifle with poor stability, you will notice it significantly. To be efficient, all bullets of a burst must hit where you want them to.
A high stability combined with perks that increase your reload speed and damage makes the perfect pulse rifle. We look at different representatives of the class again and highlight their best properties:
Des Horrors Mindeste with Rapid-Fire Frame

This is how you get Horrors Mindeste: You can get Des Horrors Mindeste only in the strike “The Corrupted” in the Nightfall version. Since you do not receive the weapon guaranteed and it is also randomly rolled, you need a decent amount of luck to get a very good roll.
You should also focus on stability during the masterwork upgrade.
These are the best perks for PvE: You want to improve your stability and damage output. Unfortunately, you will have to choose between Kill Clip and Outlaw for the second perk.
- Barrel – Arrowhead Brake, Hammer-Forged Rifling, Smallbore
- Magazine – Extended Magazine, Lightweight Magazine, Flared Magwell, High-Caliber Rounds
- Perk 1 – Zen Moment, Under Pressure, Full Auto Trigger System
- Perk 2 – Outlaw, Kill Clip, Penetrating Rounds, Fledgling

These are the best perks for PvP: In the Crucible, you should also improve your stability. Zen Moment is the best option here. An increase in reload speed is nice, but not as crucial in the Crucible.
With Targeting Adjuster, your movement speed and target acquisition are improved when you aim down sights. The optimal TTK of Horrors Mindeste is 0.80 seconds. To achieve this, you need to hit three bursts critically.
- Barrel – Arrowhead Brake, Corkscrew Rifling, Polygonal Rifling
- Magazine – High-Caliber Rounds, Ricochet Rounds, Extended Magazine
- Perk 1 – Zen Moment, Headseeker, Snapshot Sights
- Perk 2 – Targeting Adjuster, Outlaw
On the next page, we will take a closer look at the absolute fan favorite!
