We have taken a close look at all the exotic armor pieces that came with the Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2 for Warlock, Titan, and Hunter, and ranked them.
Neither Season 5 nor the first premium DLC “The Black Armory” had new armor exotics on board. The exotic armor pieces are still those that were introduced with the Forsaken expansion. At the end of 2018, we took another closer look at these items and will tell you which ones are most beneficial for Destiny 2 in 2019.
The Titan’s Armor Exotics Ranked
The Titan received four new exotics with Forsaken. We start with the worst and work our way up to the best item. Also, keep in mind that this is a personal ranking by our author Sven and may not align with your own assessment.
Rank 4 – Antaeus Wards

What can this exotic do? With this exotic leg armor, your Titan can slide better. The slide reflects enemy projectiles (including rockets). If you reflect projectiles, these boots also grant you Super energy.
What is this exotic good for? In PvE, there are hardly any situations where you can effectively use this exotic. The focus of this exotic is clearly on PvP.
In PvP, the boots can be useful in some cases, but their effectiveness heavily depends on your playstyle. Passive players will not benefit from them. Guardians who play aggressively and slide around with their shotguns can build up their Super faster.
Rank 3 – Heart of Innermost Light

What can this exotic do? When the wearer of this chest armor uses an ability (grenade, melee, barricade), the other two abilities are enhanced. This means that abilities regenerate faster, deal more damage, or can take more hits in the case of the barricade.
What is this exotic good for? This armor piece requires an active and subtle playstyle where you continually think about your cooldowns and align your gear with appropriate mods to fully unleash its potential.
In certain situations, the chest armor can indeed play very strongly and effectively, for example in Nightfall with a Grenadier modifier. Nonetheless, this fundamentally solid exotic is not considered the absolute top choice for your Titan’s exotic slot – neither in PvE nor PvP.
Rank 2 – Ursa Furiosa

What can this exotic do? When the Sentinel shield is active, you can move faster while defending with these gauntlets. When the Super ends, the damage taken while defending is converted into Super energy.
What is this exotic good for? Depending on how much damage you can block with the Sentinel shield, you get back Super energy – often so much that you can chain a Super with the next one. You don’t have to block a lot of damage for this.
This property can be very valuable and dominant, especially in the Crucible – even if many players know the advantage of these gloves and simply do not shoot at the wearer during their Super. In PvP, the gloves for the Sentinel Titan are currently a top choice.
In PvE, the gloves can also be useful, but there are fewer situations where they would justify the use in the exotic slot over other exotics.
Rank 1 – One-Eyed Mask

What can this exotic do? This helmet marks the enemies that deal damage to you. If you succeed in eliminating this enemy, the mask grants increased damage and an overshield.
What is this exotic good for? If you have ever been frustrated with the Hunter’s Lindsorm Crown before its nerf, this exotic will drive you up the wall – unless you play it yourself. Because in PvP, the One-Eyed Mask is among the best you can equip as a Titan.
The enemies are marked for what feels like an eternity, you can fully recover after a kill, and you also deal increased damage. And all of this is essentially passive. Because you don’t have to adjust your gear or playstyle for the exotic.
However, in PvE content, the mask is rarely useful and there are other exotics that are more worthy of an exotic slot there.
On the next page, we will continue with the Forsaken exotics of the Warlocks.
