The expansion for Destiny 2, Forsaken, brings the Guardians back to the Reef – the area of the Awoken. It seems that players will also get back an old, popular armor set: The armor from the Prison of Elders is making a comeback!
Forsaken brings the Guardians back to the Reef in Destiny 2. Especially Destiny 1 veterans should feel nostalgic, as one of the most popular armor sets is also making its return with the expansion: the armor from the Prison of Elders.
Popular Items from Destiny 1 are Returning
PoE armor for all classes: As seen in the promotional videos from Bungie for the upcoming launch of Forsaken, all classes will once again enjoy the armors from the Prison of Elders. This armor was very popular among Guardians in Destiny 1 due to its unusual appearance.
- Hunters wore the Kellhunter set back then, which was particularly noticeable due to its four lights on the helmet, the pretty cape, and its strange “sock” on the left leg.
- For Titans, the Kellslayer set was intended, featuring a giant helmet as the highlight. This helmet came with curved “wings,” so holders were often referred to as airplanes.
- Warlocks wore a stylish trench coat with the Kellbreaker set, equipped with gigantic belts. The Warlock ring, adorned with sharp spikes, was also eye-catching.
The armor for Titan and Warlock from the Prison of Elders has already been showcased by Bungie in two short videos for Forsaken. Therefore, the set for the Hunter should not be far behind.
Players are excited: In the Destiny subreddit, players are thrilled that the popular set from Destiny 1 is making its return. The community notes that if Bungie is already resurrecting old sets in Destiny 2, they could dive deeper into the Destiny treasure chest.
Players also wish for the Taken variant of the PoE armor. This was available in Destiny 1 in Sterling Treasures, which could be earned or purchased in the Eververse for real money.
Other Guardians suggest it would be great to have a shader that turns the entire arsenal into a Taken look.
