With Forsaken, some of the previously rotating weekly activities will rotate more frequently. There will also be corresponding adjustments to certain milestones in Destiny 2.

The milestones give Guardians the opportunity week after week to earn power upgrades by completing certain tasks and to continue leveling up until they reach the power level cap. With the upcoming Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2, there will also be some changes to the weekly activities besides the level cap. The milestones will also be adjusted. We summarize what is currently known.
Not just weekly – Some activities rotate more frequently
New plan for activities: In the current issue of Game Informer, Bungie reveals some exclusive details about the weekly activities and milestones.
Starting from September 4, there will be a dedicated tab in the in-game menu for this. Additionally, with the release of the Forsaken expansion, the Flashpoint as well as the Crucible, Vanguard, and Gambit activities will switch every four days. The raids, on the other hand, will continue to rotate weekly. Furthermore, new milestones are also expected with Forsaken.
The Flashpoint milestone is also expected to be playable and redeemable every four days. However, it was unfortunately not clarified whether this will also apply to the Vanguard and Crucible milestones, such as Nightfall, heroic daily missions, or Call to Arms. However, it is presumed that this could also be the case.

Progress without milestones: Because Bungie further explained that the milestones will no longer be the primary focus with the release of the autumn addon and will not be the only way to progress in the game. Players are intended to play Forsaken as they prefer and still be able to make progress. Specific details were not disclosed about this either.
Bungie added that locations, such as the new Tangled Shore patrol zone, will blink on the map once new activities or events are taking place there. This is intended to make it easier for Guardians to jump right into the fight and earn new loot.
What do you think of these changes? Would you be happy to finally be able to level up outside of the weekly milestones and raids?
