Destiny 2 seems to be leaking. So today, before the big showcase at 6 PM, more leaks have surfaced for the community. Both regarding Season 18 and Lightfall. Now players are already dreaming of a Destiny 2 that will look like Mass Effect and Cyberpunk, but with the best story beats from Bungie. MeinMMO shows you what else has leaked.
What has leaked about Season 18 and Lightfall? Many fans of the Destiny universe are looking forward to Bungie’s big reveal stream for Destiny 2 tonight. We at MeinMMO will also be there live to report on the event for you.
However, it seems the loot shooter is already leaking. More and more details about the new Season 18 and the next expansion Lightfall are surfacing.
- Today, a post was published on reddit that apparently confirms the return of old enemies and could also bring back a well-known NPC.
- Weapons from Season 18 can be seen there, showcasing an insectoid design.
The biggest hype, however, surrounds an alleged key art for the upcoming season pass of the Lightfall DLC. This looks like Destiny 2 in the style of Mass Effect and Cyberpunk. Something that Ginsor has already announced on Twitter, without providing photographic evidence. Now others have apparently taken over.
We will show you what photos have now been revealed and especially what can be seen in them. However, please note that these are just possibilities and theories. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

Season 18 seems to feature old acquaintances
A few days ago, first rumors about Season 18 surfaced, allegedly revealing the name of Season 18: “Season of the Plunder”. This already sounded strongly like a new season featuring plundering Fallen.
The latest leak screenshot, which was shared on the D2-Leaks-Discord server, supports this option. Here you can take a look at the two images:
What do the screenshots show about Season 18? The photos show two Ketchs, which are the massive starships of the Fallen. One looks very much like a cool pirate ship, and the other bears a sigil that may seem familiar to some players. It strongly resembles the emblem of Spider, the former ruler of the Tangled Shore.
What exactly happened to Spider, the former Tangled Shore black market dealer, remains unclear. After he exploited Crow for his purposes, he lost the favor of the Queen of the Reef.
The Guardians could not find any trace of him shortly before the servers were shut down and the Tangled Shore was deactivated as a destination. Therefore, some believed he might have escaped beforehand.
In his escape, he is said to have received help from another rogue in Destiny 2. Allegedly, the Drifter made a deal with Spider and sheltered him in the ruins of the Last City. From there, he presumably operated underground throughout the past seasons. On one hand, hidden from the curious eyes of the Vanguard and on the other, safe from Mara Sov’s revenge.
Did Spider perhaps build a new pirate empire during this time and now wants to reclaim his former position as the top black market dealer in the Destiny universe? Could he even be planning to loot the Last City or even Xur’s treasure vault?
At least the logo on the Fallen Ketch has led Guardians to discuss that he has secretly built his new Spider pirate empire. This could allow him to start resource plundering in the Cosmodrome.
Alleged Season 18 weapons have also been shown: There is also a screenshot that is supposed to show new weapons from Season 18. Although the image is quite blurred, it really looks very much like the typical Bungie style.
- The background also apparently shows a Fallen sigil, and around the weapons, there are gold bars and coins, which somewhat resemble Xur’s treasure vault.
- The weapons themselves include a pulse rifle, a machine gun, a submachine gun, a pistol, a shotgun, and a linear fusion rifle.
- Particularly notable is the submachine gun. On it sits a creature that closely resembles a spider.

Lightfall Key Art presumably shows a new Darkness enemy
It can no longer be denied that the Witness wants to destroy the Traveler. The Vanguard currently has few resources to face his overwhelming forces. The Vanguard needs strong allies, but it is still completely unclear who that will ultimately be.
Key Art shows old and yet unknown NPCs: The question is, who could stand with the Vanguard against the Witness, his army of Pyramid ships, and his Heralds? A first stylish neon cyberpunk key art might have now provided an answer.
- In the leaked key art for the upcoming season pass of the Lightfall DLC, we not only see three Guardians but also Osiris again.
- In the middle, there are also two NPCs separated by a beam of light.
- On one hand, we see the Witness of Darkness who players already know.
- On the other, there is also an ominous figure without a nose. Visually, the face resembles Calus and his automatons. But Rasputin, the Warmind, would also be a valid option if he were to receive a new Exo body.
- Far right, there is an unknown NPC in futuristic armor.

Further leaks show armors and more: However, these three leaks were by no means everything that is said to have leaked from Bungie in recent days and today. Initial images of armors and even enemies have also been shown.
In the subreddit for Destiny 2, the effort has surely been made to compile all leaks in a large thread. And this list is not only long but also truly worth seeing.
However, some Guardians are also surprised why so much is leaking from Bungie all of a sudden. As player ClockZealousideal914 writes in the Destiny 2 reddit:
People, when everything is datamined the next day by players who are not having fun, it’s pointless to bother trying to keep something secret. Even if you aren’t actively looking for something, you will see it because it’s datamined or leaked on PasteBin.
